Sometimes people come into your life for a reason, although you may not know it at the time. That was the case for Laura Schroff when she met Maurice, an eleven-year-old homeless panhandler on the streets of Manhattan. He asked her for spare change; she kept walking. But then something stopped her and made her turn back. That chance encounter turned into a weekly meeting where Laura and Maurice shared a meal, and Laura provided the encouragement and stability Maurice needed to change his life. In An Invisible Thread, Laura Schroff shares the remarkable story of how an act of kindness changed her life, and the life of a boy desperate for a change.

I liked this book very much and feel because it is a true story only adds to the enjoyment. I do hope that through this story all parties are lead to the Lord if they haven't already. Very inspiring to see what the human spirit can do.
