Review 1 for The Lutheran Handbook: A Field Guide to Church Stuff, Everyday Stuff, and the Bible

I have been a Lutheran my whole life and found this book both informative and easy to read, concise. Most of the stuff I already knew, but had some humor. A good place to begin whether you are starting to learn or are curious about your religion. Also includes Luther's Small Catechism.

I LOVE this book! It's a great way to introduce your youth group or Sunday School class to the basics of the Lutheran faith. Introduces and explains serious aspects of the faith while not taking itself too seriously. This is an easy read (it took me about a day-and-a-half to read the whole thing) that even the most reading-resistant (read preteens and teens) will be able to get through comfortably. While some of the sections will make you laugh (What to bring to a potluck [by region]), the reader will find information and renewal in their faith. This makes a great gift for adults at their baptism, as well as new members of a congregation, regardless of how long they've been Lutheran. I highly recommend this book!
