I didn't know how to pray anymore for my daughter. This book was suggested by my pastor in one of his sermons the same weekend that I found out that my 12 year old was disobeying God and us by doing inappropriate things behind our backs. This book has help me to use scripture by faith as a prayer for my daughter's life. I will continue to use this little book right now and until I die.

This book is essentially a reference book. It's a resource for building your own scripture based prayers- specific to the life struggles of your daughter (or son, or wife- fill in the blank). Passages of scripture, many of them very familiar, are categorized under topical headings like fear, anger, depression, peace, love, forgiveness, etc., where they are repackaged into short personalized prayers like this: "I pray that in my daughter there is no fear in love, because perfect love casts out fear." (I John 4:18) The basic idea is that you can have confidence that your prayers are within the scope of God's will if those prayers are based upon God's revelation of His will through scripture. The prayer of faith comes much easier when you are asking God for something that you know He already wants to do. If you believe that God's will is revealed in the Bible then you will probably find this book a useful and practical resource for your prayer life.

I bought my copy of this book in 1995. I prayed for my two daughters all the way through their teen years. They both are currently walking with the Lord today, and I beleive it is because this book helped me focus my prayers on the present and well as the future issues they would face in their Christain Walk.
