Customer Reviews for Wingspread Publishers The Root of the Righteous

Wingspread Publishers The Root of the Righteous

The essays in this book were originally written for the The Alliance Witness, of which Tozer (The Pursuit of God) was the editor. Each essay is separate unto itself, but they all center around the everyday problems that Christians have to face in the world. Tozer writes: "[These essays] were born in the midst of life; and while they have, as I hope, heaven in full view, they are never too far removed from the rough world where the children of God struggle and work and pray".

Excellent Book that I would recommend to everyone. It is simple to understand, but has meat for the reader that will encourage growth and maturity.

One of the best of Tozers if one can really pick a best. Very convicting down to the smallest detail. I am struck by the depth of Tozer's wisdom. I wonder how did he gain so much. Why do I ask, because I am ever at the cross begging forgiveness and I cannot see that need in him. I know we are all sinners but what I have learned has been through my own stubborness.I see A.W.Tozer in the light of a Saint. I wish for just a slight bit of the humility he wore.
