Customer Reviews for Wingspread Publishers God's Pursuit of Man (previously titled The Divine Conquest and The Pursuit of Man)

Wingspread Publishers God's Pursuit of Man (previously titled The Divine Conquest and The Pursuit of Man)

Although written two years after the publication of The Pursuit of God, Tozer's God's Pursuit of Man sets forth the biblical truth that before man can pursue God, God must first pursue man. A "prequel" of sorts, God's Pursuit of Man speaks fervently of God's desire for man to be saved and the action He takes as He "invades" the human soul. Tozer then explains how it is through the power and promise of the Holy Spirit that we can truly understand the mystery of the Triune God. Previously published as The Divine Conquest and The Pursuit of Man.

The reader of this book will soon find that Mr. Tozer's writings stem not from head knowledge but from a life forged from his personal quest of 'I AM'

Both this book and The Pursuit of God have been wonderful to read. Tozer's style of writing is different and really draws me to read on. I think I've underlined something on almost every page.

This is a treasure I read over and over. It is the only book, old or new, which really explains the equal station of the Holy Spirit in the trinity. God uses this book each time I review it to reset my view on who I am because of the indwelling Holy Spirit.

This is the kind of book that everyone needs to read over and over and over again. I am reading it for the second time, finding new truths as I read. I would not lend this book to anyone, I would buy them their own copy to keep. I do not want to let mine out of my possession.
