The writing followed the rules authors use. But I couldn't over-look inaccurate data on the Amish, excessive descriptions of sexual contact, and un-necessary graphic battlefield details. None of this added to the plot or characters. The only value was in the innocent being cleared of a murder charge. Checking the inside cover I found no association with "religion" or "Christian" - usually how Christian books are categorized. My evaluation was on techique alone.
