I used to think that pre marital sex was a sin. It was a slam dunk biblically speaking. When I went to study the issue (to prove my point to a christian who had no problem with it), I started to realize that I was wrong and what I was taught was not biblical. Any serious student of the Bible who is doing a study on sexuality and the Bible need to have this book. I would also recommend The Poisoning of Eros: Sexual Values in Conflict in order to study church history and specifically its view on sex. I would also add Dirt, Greed, and Sex: Sexual Ethics in the New Testament and Their Implications for Today and Divine Sex: Liberating sex from religious tradition by Philo Thelos. These are must haves for all serious students of the Bible that want to study the topic of sex and the bible. I wish all Christians could read these books and search the scriptures for themselves to see if these things be true. Acts 17:11 I have been a christian since I was 12 and wish I had read these 15 + years ago.
