A very practical book written by a practitioner (Steve Stroope) and a consultant (Aubrey Malphurs) with a wealth of church exposure and experience. This book has both an understanding of God and a grasp of the mindset of people who make up the giving congregation. I gleaned information from this book that I have not encountered from any other place. Perhaps I was not listening closely in the past, but this book made some things very clear.Steve Stroope is a pastor who has been involved in no less than 9 capital campaigns. The book was a catalyst for my thinking in not only helping with a capital campaign, but also in developing a strategic plan and a capital plan that sees beyond securing financial resources to viewing future ministry beyond current and pressing needs. This book could save $$$ by the thousands and help you be more effective for the kingdom of God. The book is not an expense but an investment.
