This book is SOOOOOOO much fun. My kids love getting into it every chance they get. They learn things in a fun way that sticks in their little heads. I am learning fun facts too. It is really great. I am using it with a kindergardener 5 year old and a firstgrade 6 year old and a few activities are a little hard for them, But we work together and they have fun and learn a lot of cool things.

I was looking for a fun activity book based on American history and thought this was a great one. And while I think it is benign and is a good activity book, I did not realize the publisher is working with Common Core standards. Common Core seeks to undermine Christian principles, parental rights in education and track all kinds of personal data on our children. I do not believe Christian Books.com is aware of the insidiousness of this program. It is being sold as the new standards for American schools so I don't blame them but parents need need to be aware that Common Core is not about teaching children in better ways, it is about control of our children and their education.
