Not only are all the Bibles I ordered an incredible value, they are a beautiful product and CB.com has the most awesome service. I found it hard to believe that I received all the merchandise so rapidly...especially since every Bible I ordered was personalized.

I like the cover and the font but the amount of ghost through made it too hard to read. I plan on returning this one.

This review concerns the Leathersoft edition in midnight blue. it is the perfect size for carrying anywhere, and the Leathersoft cover feels luxurious, not to mention the beauty of the color and imprint. The pages are thin but not so thin you can't turn them easily, and bleed-through is minimal. I like the cross-references after each verse and the footnotes at the bottom of each page. The translators of the NKJV translated from the same sources the KJV scholars used, so some might take issue with the fact that new material, such as the Dead Sea Scrolls, were not consulted in the update. I don't have a problem with it. The translators attempted and, I think, succeeded in keeping the memorable language of the KJV intact without the archaisms and the words that have since fallen out of usage. The Bible comes with a lifetime gaurantee. The binding is superb and the overall quality speaks for itself. I like the feel of it in my hand, and I can actually read it without using a magnifying device or straining my aging eyes. A couple of issues, however, keep me from using the NKJV for my main read. One is the unnecessary capitalization of pronouns that refer to deity. To me it is annoying. Is it supposed to be a more pious translation if these pronouns are capitalized? It does not accord with correct English usage. It bugs me. Another thing that bugs me is the red type everytime the Savior speaks. I don't know where that lame idea started, but it's distracting and annoying. Without those two annoyances, I'd be reading this exact edition almost exclusively. Well, you can't have everything, but if you like the NKJV with red type, I gaurantee you won't be disappointed if you buy this product.
