Customer Reviews for Canon Press A House for My Name: A Survey of the Old Testament

Canon Press A House for My Name: A Survey of the Old Testament

The best stories subtly weave themes and characters and symbols into a stunning final tapestry. This Old Testament survey covers the entirety of Old Testament history and is written for junior high readers and up, reveals the rich weave that makes Scripture the Story of stories. The author intentionally ignores the historical background to the Old Testament and concentrates instead on the internal workings of the text itself, providing a framework for the whole Bible. This book is designed for those who already have some basic knowledge of the facts of the Old Testament.

Leithart's outstanding work in tying together the great themes of the Old Testament makes this book an excellent resource for Bible studies and personal enrichment. A wonderful look at the richness and unity of Scripture.
