I always like anything by John MacArthur, so as far as content of the study notes, i would recommend this bible. What I don't like is that the leather cover and spine seem to be poor quality leather. I had this bible about 3 years and the edges of the cover are cracking and splitting.

Purchased this as a gift for my adult son teaching a Sunday School Class. John MacArthur's Study Bible is an excellent Study Bible with the most accurate commentary and other study resources all in one Bible. The NASB has also been stated that it is the most accurate translation.

This Bible would be a wonderful addition to your Bible library. I would recommend this well made addition, as it should hold up well to use. It has a lifetime warranty aginst manufacturing defects from Nelson bibles. It has a lot of helps from Dr. MacArthur for understanding Gods Word, and the NASB is a very highly accepted version of Scripture. May the HOLY SPIRIT guide you in your study of HIS WORD.

John McArthur has done an excellent job of explaining God's word in this NASB Bible.
Great Bible to have if you want an intensive understanding of God's word and you desire to have confidence the text in the Bible is an accurate portrayal of what God wanted us to understand through His word.
God's written word can at times be very confusing and frustrating without intense study of many Bible related materials such as a concordance, Bible dictionary, etc. With this Bible you can be confident John has done those studies for you to provide an accurate portrayal of God's message to us.
Now you will have no excuse for not living a Godly life.

I love the size of the Bible. Very comfortable for Bible study and with the convenience of having MacArthur's commentary below to clarify the details of the passages. It also includes charts, lists and tables that are very helpful.

The paper is grayish and very hard to read. The type is too small. I would not give it to anyone over 30 years of age. It is very difficult to read if your eyes are aging.

This product met all my expectations. It arrived super swiftly and in perfect condition. The bible was everything I expected- classic JohnnyMac. The person I got it for was elated. The leather outside cover feels great, the pages are very classy, thin classic bible pages with a gold trim, NASV with John MCarthur commentary. Overall, it was amazing. I recommend this steal to anyone.

This is an excellent Study Bible. Anything done by John MacArthur can be counted upon as quality. The workmanship of the Genuine Leather NASB Bible published Thomas Nelson is also quality. The notes are detailed and fairly exhaustive and the appendices also good. The Appendices include: The Character of Genuine Saving Faith;

I like the excellent quality from Thomas Nelson, the genuine leather, the quality of the pages and print. This bible is thinner than my NIV study bible. I have not begun to explore all its helps. It will be interesting to compare MacArthur's notes with the notes from my NIV and Reformation study bibles. I respect the literal accuracy of the NASB. An excellent value from Christian Book.

An outstanding study bible! I use the Holman NIV commentary set, crossway ESV study bible, and MacArthur commentary set, and several other study bibles as I study the word. These books are compelling me, for the first time in my life; with an enthusiasm for reading the word of God (this was hindered in the past due to my inability to interpret some scripture). I am EXTREMELY grateful for the blessings that that these texts provide, i.e., in-depth and understandable analysis, contemporary language (as opposed to Calvin, Poole, Henry, etc.), supporting scripture, etc.
How I would rank my study bibles (based solely on my opinion of the quality and depth exegesis/analysis):
1. Crossway ESV study bible
2. John Macarthur NASB study bible
3. Zondervan NASB study bible
4. Ligonier Ministries ESV Reform study bible
5. NAB Catholic study bible (sparse exegesis)
6. RSV Ignatius Catholic Study Bible New Testament (in my opinion, Hahn erroneously interprets the scripture).
1. Crossway ESV study bible
2. John Macarthur NASB study bible
3. Zondervan NASB study bible
4. Ligonier Ministries ESV Reform study bible
5. NAB Catholic study bible (sparse exegesis)
6. RSV Ignatius Catholic Study Bible New Testament (in my opinion, Hahn erroneously interprets the scripture).
Also, if you can afford the MacArthur New Testament commentary set and Holman NIV New Testament commentary set, then I would also highly recommend them for a more in-depth exegesis/analysis.
