In "Seek Me with all your Heart" Emily and her family move to Canaan, Colorado to leave danger and hurt behind. Also, David and his family move to Canaan for cheaper land due to many medical expenses for David's health. David's uncle Ivan and aunt Katie Ann also move there, but then Ivan leaves her for Lucy, back in Pennsylvania. After Katie Ann's husband leaves she finds out she is finally pregnant.---Emily and David find they are attracted to each other but both have no hope of ever marrying due to personal pain and misunderstandings.Katie Ann's husband dies after fighting with Lucy, in a car accident. --In"The Wonder of Your Love" It takes a lot of time before Eli and Katie Ann decide to finally get married after knowing each loved each other but thought for some reason they shouldn't.
