Reviewers that believe this movie is biblically accurate need to read their Bibles! While it is biblically based, it definitely adds to the Word of God. (See Rev. 22:18) The movie does give viewers an idea of the life and times during Jacob's life, but we had to jump over the bed scene, which was totally unnecessary, with Jacob and Leah. It's sad when Christians are so desensitized by the world and what they have let in their homes and minds that they have no problem with these things in "Christian" movies. God's Word tells us to flee from immorality, not sit and watch it because it is "realistic". Reading about something in the Bible is not like watching it. Abraham from the same series was as disappointing because of the way the woman in Pharaoh's court were dressed. I would love to see some accurate biblically based movies without the unnecessary trash. God says to be holy as He is holy.

This movie was pitiful. Matthew Modine and Sean Bean were believable as Jacob and Esau, but the script was horrible. The storytelling awful and too much of the movie left actual scripture and went to interpretation. Don't waste time on this one.
