As the recommended resource for the 2007 National Day of Prayer, Heart's Cry will help you learn how to listen for God's answer to your deepest cry. Dean uncovers the principles of heart-changing prayer and helps you see that these principles aren't steps to making God do what you want. Instead, the principles show that once a heart is given to God, He changes that heart as He sees fit. That knowledge frees you to live fully in God's power.

This is the second book by Jennifer Kennedy Dean that I've read in recent weeks and will not be the last. This book has truly altered my understanding of prayer---what meditation is, praying without ceasing, purity of heart, asking, seeking, knocking. The material is easily read, but not superficial in content. If the reader is looking for a deeper relationship with Christ, this book can provide meaningful insights. I look forward to reading her other books on prayer as well.
