We have done many studies from Beth Moore to Priscilla Shirer, this one was so new and refreshing, simple yet the life stories told on each segment was very though provoking.
Shortened form our usual video's , we loved it and would recommend it to any women young and old, new and older to biblical studies.

The DVD was well produced, and content good. I liked the length....around 20 minutes a session, to get us thinking about the character we were studying. The questions in the guide for group discussion were thought -provoking and soul-searching. I would highly recommend this series for new and growing believers.

Very disappointed

Our women's Bible study group recently finished doing this study and we are all so relieved to be done with it. It was a major disappointment. We had done several studies previously that involved lots of homework, so we decided to take a break and do something a little lighter. Well, this turned out not only to be light, but also not very sound. With the exception of Naomi Zacharias, the speakers did not seem to be very good students of the Word. It seemed to us that the speakers, while obviously sincere, had specific topics that they wanted to talk about and tried to force them into the Bible passages they were looking at, no matter how remotely related. Sometimes the main point of the passage was ignored or skipped over completely while they focused on whatever topic it was that they wanted to bring forward. And sometimes assertions were made that simply were not valid. Our group has now returned to a study in the Following God series and we are so glad to really be getting into the Word again and doing some serious study.

My group is still doing this study, but I have only heard good things about it. They all love learning things about the women in the Bible and then applying it to their lives. We have 20 year olds to 70 years old, so it is for all ages. Great discussion questions. Also love the video with a variety of teachers. Great for beginners of the Word to advanced knowledge.

My Wednesday night bible study really likes this study. Not too deep, not too long, but deep and long enough for our group who come to bond with each other as well as learn about God. DVD well done. No homework which is good for our group. Pretty good discussion questions for the most part.

This DVD study presents a variety of speakers with very practical and relevant life applications. Presents the lives of women in the Bible as illustrations to address trouble spots in our present day life and relationships. Topics include Finding Lasting Contentment in the Truth,Breaking Free of Stereotypes, Overcoming Rejection and insecurity, Surrendering in waiting, Dealing wih confrontation in relationships, Learning to accept unconditional love, moving from comfort to courage, and four more...The study guide is well written. Each lesson includes a profile of the woman being studied and thought-provoking questions which leads paticipant to consider her own life in light of the Biblical character...I highly recommend this very practical, easily led study.

In preparation for another women's Bible study, I searched for something fresh . . . getting away from the traditional studies everyone uses. The Twelve Women of the Bible caught my eye and I purchased the DVD and book. Have quickly reviewed each session and am pleased with the presentation and the Real Life segments. Topics are relevant and ones women can definitely relate to. We will probably do 6 studies, take a break and then continue with the balance. Am thinking I'll skip around, select the topics that speak to me more clearly and cover those women first. One of the women in our group portrays the Samaritan Women at the Well on occasions, as well as I have at a Vacation Bible Study.
