Once you start reading this book you will have a hard time puting it down. I like the fact that it is a love story however it is a clean book. I have NO problem with my teenaged grandson picking up the book to read.

I really enjoyed this series. I appreciate the simple-life concept of the Amish people. As a pastor's wife, this author does a wonderful job of including those mini-messages that grab your heart. Although fiction, God uses those little messages to speak to me every time. Start at #1 and read all four.

I love this book! It's just so real, i love books about the Amish, and this one certainly delivered. I loved having a glimps into Rachel's life, how hopeless her love seemed for Silas, hoe she kept on hoping, and how her longing was finally fufilled. I hate that Wanda had Perry die though, that was just so sad. I think that it was just so stupid how Ruben wanted to leave the Amish world just because he didn't want to give up his stupid truck. One of my favourite parts about this story is how Joseph and Pauline end up together; in Plain and Fancy she seemed all sour and uptight, but in this book she seems a lot more happy and mellow. I also love that they speak a little bit of dutch so that you can learn a few words. It's very cool.

As usual, I couldn't wait to get #4 in this Series because my Secret Sister at church got me "hooked" on Wanda B's novels. My first book was the Quilter's Daughter & now there's about 5 of us "girls".... at church reading these series & discussing how real this writer makes the Amish people come to life! God Bless! Debbie B.
