This book was written with honest compassion for the many parents who struggle with adult children who have "gone astray." After reading this, I know now that I am not the only one who struggles with this problem, but that I have but one choice: To trust God with my child's future. Although I will never stop worrying, I do not need to torture myself with self blame.

This book was wonderful. The insight in it was so eye opening. I have read lots of books like this but I believe this one made the REAL difference. A very well written book with lots of wonderful knowledge to help people who suffer grief and pain from their children. I can't seem to put it down. I have read it and then read it again. The more I read it the more it sinks in and the book has given me alot of hope. I hope others enjoy it as much as I have. GREAT BOOK!!!!!!!

I purchase this book to give to a friend who has a "prodigal" son. I also gave her "Tough Love" but I feel this book will help her deal with her prodigal issue better as it is aimed at the sufferer, not the whole issue as is "Tough Love". It encourages those who have lost a child (in any manner) to get on with their lives. It also points out that not all suffering parents heal at the same rate and some may never heal. Lots of encouragement in a short volume. Not complete therapy or counseling but I am sure it will help many who accept its teachings.

This is an excellent book. I have been looking for something that would help me with an estranged son. The hurt is is unbearable at times. This book helped me understand how important it is to continue with my life, not as best as I can, but fully as God intended. I would suggest this to any parent who's heart is breaking over their adult child.

This is the best book I have read concerning how to cope and move on with a broken heart! Most books that you read concerning this subject ... just sugar coat it ... almost leaving you feeling worse, but Parents with Broken Hearts: Helping Parents of Prodigals to Cope, really helped me to understand the importance of letting go and moving on after everything is done that can be done! I've learned how very important that is in healing a broken heart!
