Based on Hebrews 12, this book opens the way for allo of us to walk in true freedom. I read this book just before celebrating July 4th (Independence Day) and it gave me a renewed appreciation for what freedom truly means. Through the use of in depth study, personal life stories and Jennifer Kennedy Dean's ability to speak from her heart, she has written a book that will lead all who read its pages to a deeper sense of freedom.Jennifer Kennedy Dean takes us on a journey through the five keys to freedom. Those keys are His platform, His provision, His power, His presence and His promise. Upon completion of each key; there is a sense of deeper freedom within. I encourage you to take the journey with Jennifer Kennedy Dean through Hebrews 12 and the five keys to life of freedom unhindered by those things that weigh us down and trip us up. Jennifer Kennedy Dean sets the record straight about what freedom really is and how we can experience it to the max in her book, Life Unhindered! Is there such a thing as a freedom party? Jennifer reminds us that our God longs to see his children living free, encourages us to celebrate his power to free us, then gives us the keys to walking in that freedom. Yep, sounds like a freedom party to me! Biblical, practical, insightfullife-changing. Love it!

This book is full of rich lessons from Biblical examples of how God deals with His people to bring them to a position of freedom. Freedom is the theme of this book - freedom from sin and to Christ. A thoroughly Biblical approach to life and maturity, this read is full of current day examples, applications and comparisons. Each lesson turns the reader's focus off himself and onto God and helps break self-inflicted bonds that entangle us and keep us from the freedom Christ came to give. Anyone who uses this book will be rewarded with a better understanding of Scripture and God's platform, provision, power, presence and promise. These are the 'five keys to freedom' in Christ. There are discussion questions and a leader's guide for small groups.

When I first picked up Life Unhindered and saw that the first chapter is called A Cloud of Witness, my heart skipped a beat. The cloud of witnesses is mentioned in Hebrews 12: 1-2 and that is among my favorite verses of scripture. I have always found great comfort from it, but I just never really thought of the intense freedom that comes from doing just that: throw aside every hindrance. In Life Unhindered, Jennifer Kennedy Dean explores Hebrews 12: 1-2 in order to help readers find true freedom in Christ.Having worked through one of Jennifers Bible studies already, I knew what to expect from her writing style. She lays out a very in depth study of Hebrews in this book, sometimes a little too deep for my liking. I have always struggled when authors do such thorough studies of scripture. I preferred Jennifers speaking from her heart and sharing personal stories of people she knows. When she writes from the heart, she has a very comforting and soothing tone and takes on the feeling of chatting with a good friend.Life Unhindered is a good mix of in depth Bible study and personal Christian self-help for healing. I did very much enjoy this book and I found it very useful. Hebrews 12 is a wonderful passage to turn to for guidance and Jennifer has written a practical guide to apply Hebrews to our lives.
