David C. Cook Basic.Fear God DVD, Episode 1

One of the recurring themes we see in the Bible is the idea of fearing God. Is the fear that God talks about in the Bible really much more that we want to admit? Could it be more than just respect? From the creators of Nooma comes the first DVD in a new series. Join Francis Chan as he explores the relationship between God and man throughout the Bible. You'll learn how a true fear of God is demonstrated through complete surrender---leading to the keeping of his commandments and the beginning of wisdom. Includes personal reflection guide. Approx. 14 minutes.

We got started listening to a friend's audio book of Crazy Love. It turned into an evening devotional for our whole family. We'd listen to a chapter at a time, and then discuss it. It was a powerful teaching for all of us, esp. the kids.
Many of the truths Pastor Chan brings to light and teaches here are obvious; but too often they are forgotten or ignored, or misinterpreted. Modern day Christians need to read or hear this message, as it will transform how we all treat one another, love one another, and live out the bibilical model of "love".
I would strongly recommend this book to anyone...anyone who wants to grow, or even rekindle that "first love". It is a most excellent book!

Francis Chan is a great speak, who passionately speaks the word of God. His message on the Fear of God is both challenging and thought provoking. I recommended it to youth and adults.

This was so beautifully done. As always, Francis Chan sends the message the biblical way, and it is they way it should be done. God bless him, and all the people involved in this project. I'd hope it was longer for the price, but it doesn't matter, it was breathtaking. Thanks to Christianbook.com for bringing the real thing to your store. God bless!

I am very impressed with Francis Chan's new series based on this first installment. I was left with wanting far more on the subject of fearing God.
