Christmas is an exciting time for youngsters, and decorating the tree is lots of fun. But what is the meaning of this holiday tradition? Crystal Bowman's simple, rhyming verses and Claudine Gévry whimsical art make this oversized, die-cut, foil-stamped board book a treat for the eye. Little ones learn the symbolism of angel, bell, and the other ornaments, as well as, lights, the star on the top of the tree, and the blessing of presents under it. Parents will love the reinforcement of the "Jesus is the reason" message. This 18-page, die cut board book measures 11" high by 8 1/2" wide. Recommended for ages 3 and up.

I ordered this book for my Grandson and loved it so much that I ordered 3 more for my neice and some friends children. My grandson is 2 and loved listening to the story. This book sends a wonderful message about Jesus and why we celebrate Christmas, has great pictures and is a thick book (not paper) so it will not tear up when the little ones read it by themselves. I recommend it 100%

This is a big and sturdy board book with a good message. I was surprised at how interested my 2 and a half year-old was in it, considering that it's just a basic book with nice pictures but no special features. We do find that we can get more from the book if we don't read the text word for word, as there are some Christian words and phrases used that are hard for little ones to understand.
