Both my daughters and all of our primary kids have enjoyed receiving this bible as a gift. It is concise, gives a broad scope to the content, and the images are engaging and helpful to connect them to the story.

This is a Bible my kids had when they were growing up, now its my grand kids turn. The Bible is very good quality and nice bright pictures to grab their attention. I would recommend this product to any one.

My rating is based upon my comparison of my older edition and the sample online. It is by no means a thorough review. Over time, we have purchased about 6 or 7 of the 1989 edition with an ISBN of 0-310-92610-6, and loved them. I compared a copy we have to the sample online and it has a totally different attitude to it. In the '89 edition, Gideon was humble and asked God to understand his doubt. He wasn't portrayed the same with this edition. This edition seems more cartoonish and dramatic whereas the older ones seem more gentle.
We read a review somewhere else and the reviewer said that the edition described here isn't as deep in the scripture or as thorough. I would agree based on the small sample I read. I am not trying to nitpick. I loved this book and all our children did as well. The description says that "millions of children" have discovered this book. They discovered a far more wonderful edition of His word than the one described here. You can find the other edition that our children grew up on elsewhere. Just use the ISBN. Christian Book Distributors is a wonderful organization and I will still purchase other items from them. In fact, a package just arrived yesterday. :) This is not a critique of the company by any means, just this particular edition of "The Beginner's Bible". CBD is an outstanding company with excellent customer service.

Love it. Short stories made easy to understand. The only thing is be warned, it is not the entirety of Scripture, it is stories from the Scripture. But my little guy loves it and it's perfect for the age group they recommend it for!

This Bible is perfect for your toddler or pre-school aged child. We searched for one that actually tells the story of the Jesus' death on the cross, so many children's Bibles gloss over it, while yes it is a hard thing to teach and talk about its the reason for having a Bible at all. The pictures are fun and colorful, the stories are only a few pages long so great for short attention spans. The only down side is that the binding isn't the best. We read this book multiple times a day and our children carry it around with them to Church and other places, of the 3 we own one has no cover at all and the other ones are getting worn.

We bought this for our two year old daughter to carry her bible like we do to church. The artwork captures and keeps her attention while we read the stories to her, it has become like a family devotional that is appropriate for her attention span. We love it!
