Adam5 Stars Out Of 5Fantastic SeriesDecember 22, 2022AdamI read this with my 7-year-old daughter. We loved it! The reading level was a little bit of a challenge for her, but in a positive way. I was very impressed by how they mixed in the gospel with the story. Very in your face, which I love. The series is great, and I think I will read it again. We loved the characters Hanna and Tomo. The animation is great, though we wished it was in color.
From my daughter,
"There are a lot of interesting parts and Hanna grows up in each book. It is cute that in the beginning it is half-ninja and half-student. It was surprising that the racoon could talk. Two thumbs up!" -
boustrophedonAge: 45-54Gender: male4 Stars Out Of 5Published in 2010? I wish!February 16, 2012boustrophedonAge: 45-54Gender: maleMy family is looking forward to the conclusion, having discovered this series in a bookstore in 2007. Why Zondervan delayed the finale for a year and a half is anyone's guess. While some Christians might balk at the parallel-world and martial-arts aspects, the story makes the point that Jesus calls us to be strong and courageous because life is sometimes daunting and scary -- and He does some of His best work in the midst of our suffering. Tomo is a good series for tweens and young teens, or any fan of manga.
