Zonderkidz Eternity's Edge, Echoes from the Edge #2

Nathan Shepherd's parents are alive after all! With the imminent collapse of the universe at hand, due to a state called Interfinity, Nathan sets out to find them. With Kelly at his side, he must balance his efforts between searching for his parents and saving the world.
Find out what happens when good battles evil in an alternate universe. Interfinity is imminent. In this second book in the Echoes from the Edge series, the merging of Earth and its parallel dimensions means one thing to Nathan Shepherd-he must rescue his parents while attempting to save his world and others. But signs foretell the impending collapse of the cosmos. Nathan and his friend Kelly watch the night sky transform into a giant mirror, as stars are replaced by scattered reflections of Earth. The teens are not the only ones on a mission. Mictar, a dimensional stalker who consumes the life energy of his victims, fights to control the universe-a universe Nathan knows belongs to God. Journeying through dimensional realities, Nathan and Kelly must draw on their God-given gifts of wisdom and courage and the help of faithful friends, as they battle Mictar for lives and worlds sliding toward the edge of destruction.

Bryan Davis is an amazing author! This series is one of the best I've read. It keeps you on the edge of your seat, and up till the wee hours of the night. I love the way the characters each have weaknesses that God uses for greatness. I would recommend this book and the series to anyone!

I absolutely loved the first book! The sequel is also a very well written book. At first I must admit being a little confused by the dimensions and all the people trying to give Nathan advice. If the author was trying to make the reader understand Nathan's confusion, he did a good job! Yet, despite my confusion and the feeling that the book was a little bit weird, I pressed on to the end. My endurance was rewarded with a solid and dramatic ending to a very wild tale. I encourage all readers who might have a hard time comprehending all the book's material to complete the book anyway. As you come upon the last few chapters, everything becomes clear. Eternity's Edge leaves you thinking and wondering how you can apply it's lessons in real life.

Wow! Hang onto your seats everyone - when you read this book you are in for a wild ride!!! This is book #2 in a trilogy and it is wonderful. One word of caution though, I highly recommend reading the 1st and 2nd books back to back so you stay in the flow of Earth Red, Earth Yellow, Nathan Blue, Clara Red, Nathan Yellow, etc... I actually picked the 1st one up and read the last few chapters to try and refresh my memory but I know that reading them in direct sequence would be very helpful. I read the 1st one back in June and have read 75 (no joke) other books in between these two so no surprise that the details were a little fuzzy :-)This is a mind bending thrill ride that will take your breath away. It may be hard for preteens to follow, but teens and adults alike will love this book. I can't wait for #3 to come out and wrap everything up for me! I just kept thinking what a cool movie this series would make...

Bryan Davis second offering in the Echoes From The Edge series is a thrilling, fast-paced fantasy novel for teens. Eternitys Edge continues the action-packed adventure of teenage hero, Nathan Shepherd and his friend, Kelly as they try to save their world. They battle beings from parallel dimensions and encounter worlds very different from the home they are trying to rescue.Davis brilliantly draws his teen audience, exposing them to God throughout the story. The characters are likable, the plots are engaging, and the science fiction/fantasy genre is bound to spark the readers imagination. I highly recommend this series.

I really liked this one. I absolutely loved the first in the trilogy Beyond the Reflection's Edge and now I'm really excited about the third coming in 2009, Nightmare's Edge. This series has been my introduction to Bryan Davis and I admit he has taken me on quite the adventure. This journey into the fantasy world or alternate Earths has been quite invigorating. So many twists and turns that it is hard to keep up, but so worth it. I highly recommend the series. This book is still full of the morality and virtuous parts that made the first book so enjoyable as well as the awesome plot. But this novel has some growth of romance that would give even the disinterested person chills. It is marketed as a Teen Fiction, but as a young adult I thoroughly enjoyed it and I definitely believe that other adults would as well, the only thing teen about it to me is that the main characters are teens.Fast paced and a complete thrill ride, this book brings you into a reality that is complex but amazing. I would not recommend reading this book alone, although you could. I'd say you should go back to the first book to get the full benefit of this continuing story as well. Go out and get your copy right now!

While some of the mysteries presented in the first title are brought to some sense of resolution, many more are brought forward. This uncertainty and lack of a clear overview is both frustrating and fascinating, and I read at a break-neck speed in my attempts to discover the secrets of this alternate universe and how exactly God is involved in the entire situation, for He certainly is. By the end of the book much remains to be discovered and a seemingly overwhelming amount of work lies before the young hero and heroine before the rift in the universal fabric can be healed completely. The prolific loose ends and unanswered questions are sure to keep Davis fans on edge as they wait for the release of the third and final novel. Looking back on my review of the original novel I can clearly tell that my fondness for the series has only grown with this new addition.Though filled with danger and a clear separation of good and evil, Davis prose is clean and wholesome. Violent events instigated by the forces of darkness vision stalkers such as Mictar whose origin we do not yet understand continue to occur and are disturbing; this is definitely a title for older readers. Davis blend of faith, science fiction, and music create a unique and captivating tale. This second installment begins to develop themes relating to the Christian faith, such as sacrificial love, though its too early to tell where Davis is headed with them. With his skillful blending of the Christian faith together with a high intensity story line Davis has created a book that is never heavy-handed, and is highly entertaining.

Eternity's Edge has more twists and turns than a rollercoaster, and is just as exhilarating. Each corner will leaving you hanging on the edge, only to be rescued and swept away to the next. Mysteries unfold, while even more remain unsolved. Bryan Davis has left me spellbound once again.

As interfinity approaches, the stakes get higher for Nathan, Kelly, Daryl and Francesca. Can they trust Patar? Will they discover the secrets of Sarahs Womb? This book kept me laughing and crying all the way through.

Bryan Davis raises the bar a few dimensional notches with this thriller- Eternity's Edge, the second book in the Echoes from the Edge trilogy. EE is every bit as good as the first installment and, I think, even better in some ways. To start off I think Bryan Davis growth as an author really shines through in Eternity's Edge. For one, the characters are memorable and multi-layered, and he develops them with ease. To create a cast of characters such as in EE is a stellar accomplishment, for any author. And as usual with a Davis book you'll find yourself imagining people and places that are so odd, and mystifyingly beautiful that you'll begin wondering thoughts like "Why can't I think of that when I write?" or " How is it possible to write on paper what I just read?" or " Is Bryan Davis Patar's long lost son sent by Patar to pen this epic?. Hehe. I wouldnt put it past him. Well, I could go on and on, but if there's one author you could support, support Bryan Davis and buy his books, including this one! Eternitys Edge is a book you dont want to miss!

Eternity's Edge, book two in the Echoes From the Edge Series, is an exciting addition that is (if possible) more exhilarating and more mysterious than Beyond the Reflection's Edge.Nathan Shepherd continues his quest to find his parents and save the world by preventing interfinity, a collision of dimensions, along with Kelly, Daryl, Dr. Simon, Clara, and Patar in the maze of different worlds.Strange things begin happening. The people experience wacky weather, strange dreams, and widespread pandemonium all caused by interfinity, and Mictar, one who seeks to control the cosmos, is at large.Nathan and Kelly set out to restore order and prevent Mictar from destroying the dimensions, and discover the secret of the quattro, a mirror that holds many secrets. Will they stop interfinity? Will Nathan find and rescue his parents?Find out in Eternity's Edge.I highly recommend this book! It has action, humor, selflessless, and wonder. A reader will keep the pages turning as they dive into the adventure alongside the teens.
