Warner Press The Garden Wall: A Story of Love Based on 1 Corinthians 13

From the author of the immensely popular The Princess and the Kiss and The Squire and the Scroll comes a lavishly illustrated story about love as it's celebrated in God's Word.

Petra announces to her friend Seth that she wants to grow her own flower garden. He agrees to help her by building a wall to protect the delicate flowers from harm. But it's not easy. Sometimes they don't get along, and the work is even harder than they imagined. Will they give up? Can their friendship last when disaster strikes the garden? In this engaging children's story, healthy friendship grows into committed love as Seth and Petra build their beautiful garden and the wall to protect it. Children learn about having healthy relationships based on 1 Corinthians 13. Recommended for ages 8 and up.

It has been a custom to give a children's book to each of my children at Christmas. This started over 20 years ago and it has been coming more difficult to find books that meet the books that say something of lasting value.Petra and Seth's garden speaks volumes to how one should build something of quality and beauty. Their messages are something I'm proud to pass on to my children and my grandchildren.

This is a wonderful book for parents and children to read together. The simple but beautiful drawings capture so well the emotions of life and lend themselves to great discussion about the biblical truths of the text.

This is one of the most beautifully written books I have ever read. I cannot read it to my daughter without getting choked up. It illustrates the nurturing role of a woman and the servant leader role of a man in a way that will penetrate the heart.

Wonderful book! Mrs. Bishop has done it again. This was exactly what I was looking for as follow-up to Princess/Kiss and Squire/Scroll. It is a lovely way to introduce building a marriage from a friendship. Mrs. Bishop also points out lovingly how the need for approval and help from parents is necessary. Does a wonderful job of husband/wife roles.
