I truly enjoyed this book. I recommend it for anyone wanting insight into growing up with a famous parent or into overseas missions. The pace was fairly quick and the stories were page-turners.

What is it like to grow up Graham? Long before boxes went all over the world, and doctors volunteered in third world countries through World Medical Mission, Franklin Graham was not sure what he wanted in life. Son of Billy and Ruth Graham, he rebelled against the giant footsteps placed before him.
He shares stories about growing up with his brother and sisters, how he missed his dad even though he understood why his dad was on the road, and the struggles he had with God.
Travel with Franklin back in time and all around the world.
With Operation Christmas Child nearing, numerous shoe boxes filled with toys, crayons, soap, toothbrushes, hats, flash lights, and many other gifts will be handed out to girls and boys all over the world. Reading this book will give you the background of the heart of the man who started this and many other outreaches. Enjoy reading this book, and you, like Paul Harvey can say, "and that's the rest of the story."

"Rebel With A Cause" is one of the most powerful books I have ever read about a prodigal. We as believers in Christ can become prodigals before we even realize it.When we repent and turn around we are forgiven. This is what happened to Franklin Graham. God is now using him in a mighty way now to preach and teach salvation in Jesus Christ and helping those in NEED. Amen!

Awesome -- through Franklin's book I've come to better understand myself; where I've been, where I am now, and where I hope to be -- he's a living inspiration to those who dare to open their heart and mind. My major complaint is that the book is missing pages; one chapter is incomplete, another is missing, and the Afterword and Notes sections were not included. My hope is that CBD will replace it with a complete book.

This book provides excellent encouragement for anyone dealing with a prodigal. It demonstrates how God is still at work even though we may not see it directly.

As a mother who often struggles with the question "Did I go wrong in raising my now adult son?" I found it wonderful to learn that godly parents like Billy and Ruth Grahamalso had problems with their son, but he came through to be an outstanding Christian man. It gives hope to me.

Incredible read. The first half of the book, about Franklin Graham's childhood and young adulthood, provides an interesting peek inside the Graham family. But the second half of the book--when Graham begins traveling the globe with Samaritan's Purse--is amazing. It was a lot like reading the Left Behind novels, but this was real! Graham's passion jumped out at me and moved me to do two things: be more intentional about God's specific calling on my life, and be more aware and involved internationally. I'd like to see him someday write another volume, picking up where this one leaves off.

This autobiography of Franklin Graham, the son of evangelist Billy Graham, is inspiring as well as informative. Graham gives the reader an insight into what it was like being raised in the shadow of the most famous preacher of the twentieth century. He shares honestly and from the heart. While by today's standards Graham was not that rebellious of a child, it is still refreshing to see that even the son of Billy Graham had his struggles. Smoking, drinking, and defying authority were three of his greatest vices. He describes his journey from a rebellious son of a minister to a servant of Jesus Christ in his own right.I admire Franklin Graham for being his own person, rather than trying to become a mere imitation of his father. While struggling for years to find his own, unique place in God's plan, as time passed he did finally discover it. He serves today as the head of "Samaritan's Purse" ministry, a ministry much different than the well-known crusade ministry of his dad.I recommend this book highly to anyone wanting to learn more about Franklin Graham. I especially recommend it to the children of ministers, who may be struggling to find their own identity in the shadow their father. This work is also a good insight into the personal dynamics of the Graham family. Buy it, read it, and discover more about this rebel who finally found his cause!

Franklin Graham shares his real life struggles with his personal life and decision for Jesus with such openness and honesty! It is incredibly encouraging for those "riding the fence" and for parents of prodigal children. I came away knowing that God is in control and will use ANYONE with a willing heart! Highly recommended
