I read the first book to my kids while we were away on a weekend trip. Skye is a very troubled teen but it shows throughout the book that we need God in our lives. This book has lead to many great discussions about how we act and how important it is for God to be a part of their lives.

This series is definitely not for 3rd graders. I have an avid reader so she reads more advanced books. I gave her the whole series for Christmas. She read one book and realized it was not appropriate for her age. Maybe it is a series for troubled teens but NOT for Elementary.
