Baker Christmas at Harrington's - Slightly Imperfect

Christmas is coming, but Lena Markham isn't looking forward to it. After being imprisoned on false charges, she's released - penniless and friendless. When her secondhand red coat lands her a job as Mrs. Santa, she thinks her luck is changing. But can she keep her past a secret? A delightful story about fresh starts! Slightly Damaged.

I purchased this book to finish out an order figuring that I really wouldn't get the time to read it. Well, I did find the time and I couldn't put it down! That was the best book that I have read in a long time! I highly recommend it!

My expectations were fairly low—in keeping with the price. And the first couple pages met those expectations. But then it picked up into a surprisingly well-plotted story. Our heroine encounters a string of difficulties, yet at each step she uses what God has put into her hand to bless others. The story never comes off as heavy-handed preaching thinly veiled in fiction, and the characters are never too good to be true. It is a nice story that leaves the reader in a good mood.

First off, I bought this as slightly imperfect and that is the only reason I rated "Quality" as "good" rather then "excellent" which I rated everything else as.
My copy had a few crease marks and wrinkles but besides that, everything else was fine. And let me tell you, for one dollar, the book was totally worth it even if it had those few "imperfections."
The book was amazing and is such a perfect Christmas read! It is an easy and quick read but touching all the same. It was a real powerful Christmas story and I loved snuggling up by the fire to read it. It really got me pumped up for Christmas!
Anyway, I totally recommend it. The story was amazing and you really get a good deal on it. As I said, the "imperfections" are little ones. It is totally worth your money. =)
