I find Lifepac to be very helpful to me as a parent that doesn't always understand how to explain to my child. Love the fact that the bible is implemented in the curriculum. The Teacher Guide is very useful in guiding me as the teacher. Have used Lifepac for 6 years now.

Same review as on the Language arts for 4th grade . I was trying to do homeschooling on my own (free to cheap) but was stressing over whether I was keeping my children on (at least) their grade level or not. Decided to break down and purchase some curriculum. Decided on Lifepac as we are in the car often and it seems portable (it is). I also liked the price of the whole LifePac kits. We have been using for a few months and I like it 80% of the time. My children and I like the way they incorporate the Bible into the work and the student book for examples. We like the variety of ways they try to reinforce the information, picture puzzles, crossword puzzles etc, I like that my children for the most part are able to do this on their own.

The problems 1) Spelling words are given too close to when they want you to test. 2) I wish they would give you more examples. The teacher guide does not expand the text. it gives additional learning activities and of course the answer keys. If you are confused after reading the student book you have to figure it out yourself. 3) Several sections in the grade 4 and grade 7 I wish they would put that on a website where you can log in and hear it. 4) Also would be great to have additional worksheets on a website you could log into if you want additional practice on a subject. I would recommend with caveats.

My daughter seems to like this curriculum better than Language Arts Through Literature, and I agree. We haven't gone too far into it yet, but I do like the set up.

Although this curriculum isn't terrible we're looking to replace it. The biblical references make the use of the Bible drudgery instead of fun. It uses the King James Version which makes it difficult for my son to understand. I've worked hard to make the Bible something that they look forward to reading and this curriculum has countered those efforts.
