This was an Easter gift to my 8 year old daughter. It was an upgrade from her NIrV bible for school since the NIV is used most for memory verses and such at church and school. I actually let her pick it out but she didn't receive until Easter Sunday. She loved her previous adventure bible and preferred it over her friends faithgirlz version. She has an adventurous spirit so it is very fitting. She loves her new bible and can follow along easier during chapel and bible class.

Recently I ordered 15 of these Bibles for a Sunday School Class and my granddaughters. This Bible is written in language understood by youth...............a very useful tool in today's world. I would highly recommend this Bible to anyone. Even adults at Church have commented on how easy it is to read and understand.

My nine year old son asked for this Bible as a Christmas present. When he opened it on Christmas morning he was so happy! He has not stopped reading it and he is even teaching me a thing or two. I am so glad I got it!

We have this Bible on hand for kids who come to our church, camp, or vbs and who do not have their own Bibles. It's easy to read, stands up to hard use (even at camp!), and doesn't break our budget. I love seeing their faces when we write their names inside and tell them its theirs to keep!

I teach Sunday School and use this tool with all my students.
I give one as a gift to any student that becomes a regular.

I really loved this product, because it is easy to read. Also, it is easy to understand and has lots of information about the passages in this Bible. When I got it I was so excited to start reading it. Sure, its a kids Bible, but I'm going to keep it forever!

NIV is an excellent translation widely used. The features of the Adventure Bible learning highlights are these:
*Words to treasure--key verses
*Did You Know?--interesting small facts
*People in Bible times--key information about some of the lesser, but important characters
*Live It!--applications to our life now
*Life In Bible Times--facts on clothing, food, and other information about daily life with an illustration
*Basic book introductions which ask the questions such as: Who wrote, Who is key, Why, What, What happens, What do we learn, When, Where and include a list of favorite Bible stories, and teachings in that book.
The introductions provide a useful analytical guide.
The NLT Hands-On Bible is good, too. But for educational purposes I'd choose this one first. It depends on the child and perhaps whether there is a preferred translation in your Sunday School. Buy each if you would use them.
