Math is not an easy subject to teach if your child is disinterested. With this math curriculum, lessons are easy, organized, and repetitive for reinforcing mastery of each building block of math. The teacher's manual offers tips for teaching and suggestions for making learning even more fun. The colorful booklets invite students to dig in and learn.

I think this is a great Math program. The lessons are repetitive, and have a great way of introducing something new.

The 2nd grade math Lifepac is ok. This is my first year to use it. I am using the 2nd and 6th grade math. I won't use it again. I don't like the fact that the teacher's manual does not teach, it simply gives you answers to everything. That's nice, but, if my child has a question about something, I want to be able to look in the book and answer it correctly. As far as the math in the books, its good. I just need a little more to teach with.

I like the math and Language arts for it's simplicity, however, my daughter is finding it too easy for her. She is in 2nd grade and needs to be more challenged, so I create more challenging work for her. I would love to know if there is a way to test my child, BEFORE ordering school books. Maybe this is why she was so bored in public school.

I liked watching my daughter take charge in this subject. She would read the instructions and work out the problems. If she didn't understand something, she would ask me. She learned a lot through repetition, unlike schools that take a chapter or two to teach one thing and then go on to the next new thing. LifePacs bring things up over and over even when implementing new things.I think it built-up her self-confidence. Also, with 10 LifePacs, she knew how much work she had to do and when each LifePac was completed--she was proud of herself. We plan to use the entire 3rd grade set this coming year.
