Celebration of love is not confined to weddings, anniversaries, or Valentine’s Day. Proving this, "Everything Romance" provides ‘something for everyone’, from the sublime to the corny to the winsome to the serious. Enjoying it, I savored it as I read, marking copious passages to remember.
Bordon and Winters managed to gather a broad selection of writing, including poems, lyrics, stories, Bible quotations, snippets from great literature, and quotes from famous people. There are even recipes with which to pamper your beloved. “How to Love for a Lifetime”, is a thought-provoking, useful list for anyone in a marriage.
"Everything Romance" is imaginative, delightful, and a book you can pick up and put down at will, read for a few minutes for refreshment, and always find in it something of value. The editors include “Love Boosters”, “Love Busters”, and guidelines for romance in the digital age, and a section called “How to Love for a Lifetime”.

For the Romantic at Heart

I'm not normally a big fan of gift books . . . as far as reading straight through. But I have thoroughly enjoyed reading through Everything Romance as the mood strikes. This is a great collection of all things "romantic." The authors have done an excellent job compiling a mixture of stories, letters, quotes, recipes, date ideas, gift suggestions and the like. In fact, a couple of the date / gift suggestions inspired my gift to Hubs for Valentine's this year!
Anyone who is a romantic at heart will enjoy Everything Romance. [4 stars]

Everything Romance is not at all what I expected it to be. When I ordered the book, I expected to receive a self-help book on relationships. Although this book does deal with relationships in many different forms, it really is not your typical self-help book. I did enjoy the read. Because of its format, you can pick it up and put it down or read it in-between other books without losing your place at all.
Everything Romance is actually a collection of blessings and prayers, very short stories, trivia, lists (for example: "Here's What I Love About You", or "Conversation Starters for Couples", love letters, poetry, quotations, recipes ("Minty Fresh Love Nectar"), scripture, gift ideas and the part which I think was my favorite, Love Boosters:"Dance together, even if it's just in the kitchen for a few minutes before breakfast."; and Love Busters: "Bring up your spouse's past mistakes. Never let them be buried." - just powerful little sentences that really made you think, "Do I do that?", or more realistically, "oops!"
I would very much recommend this book. Not all of it will be for everyone. Personally, I'm not into poetry, and someone else's love letters do not really interest me, so I pretty much skimmed over those, but there is definitely something for everyone, both male and female - especially you gentlemen who have a hard time coming up with things to do or say that show your wife that you love her - and the best part is, it literally can be read for minutes at a time, and there is even an index if you are looking for specifics. Just leave it lying around the house and pick it up when you have a moment or two - if you put what you read into practice, you will definitely improve the romance portion of your marriage.

This book caught me from the very beginning as it is attractively packaged and a small but nice size. Who would not want a book that on the very front said A Celebration of Love for Couples? It has a wide variety of styles within the pages of this book. It has stories from the Bible on Love & scriptures on Love. Prayers that are so sincere in their joy of Love. Short stories that were fun to read. Recipes to try. Easy inexpensive ways to say I love you. It also has Love Boosters & Love Busters - what to say to make your love grow & what can pop the happy times (so don't do these!). I received this book free from Waterbrook Multnomah publishers & was not required to give a favorable review just an honest one. Loved it!

What a fun book...chocked full of all kinds of Romantic examples. Includes recipes, Trivia, Love Stories, poetry, quotes...and much more.
Once you pick the book up you will be captured. After you have lingered through the pages, and you want to find something to share with your "Loved" one, there is a wonderful index in the back! There are so many delicious facts in here...wish I could share them all with you.

I hate to admit it, but sometimes us guys can be a little bit clueless when it comes to the art of wooing and romancing our wives (and I'm guessing that sometimes even wives can use help in that department too!). I was completely impressed by the latest offering from David Bordon and Tom Winters, a book filled with practical wisdom, entertaining stories, delicious recipes, and sure-to-be-a-hit date night ideas. I plan on consulting this book over and over during the years for inspiration. I especially liked the quotes sprinkled throughout the book, which gave me much food for thought, such as one from Eva Burrows that states "in family life, love is the oil that eases friction, the cement that binds closer together, and the music that brings harmony". How true that is indeed!
I encourage you to buy this book for Valentines Day, whether as a gift for your spouse, a source of ideas for yourself, or something that you can work through together as a couple. You won't be disappointed. I highly recommend this book and give it 5 out of 5 stars.
