Revell Oxygen: Deep Breathing for the Soul

Do you sometimes feel rushed off your feet and away from God? Like a breath of fresh air, Kent's devotional for busy women---especially moms---offers an opportunity for spiritual contemplation and reflection. In it, you will discover practices that will help you develop your relationship with the One who loves you the most. These simple, time-tested practices have been part of the Christian tradition for centuries. Oxygen shows you how to put them to work in your life and faith. You'll learn:
  • that doing is not always as pleasing to God as being with him
  • how to spend time in solitude
  • how to journal and pray
  • how to listen to what God is saying to you
Through the exercises in this book, you'll be abundantly equipped to calmly and capably meet the demands of life. But it all starts when you learn to breathe. Come and explore how!

Oxygen-Deep breathing for the soul
As all of her books, Keri Wyatt Kent touches the very root of your soul. Her writing practices teach you how to slow down and walk at a slower pace in life, thus resulting in hearing God's voice and you actually know what God is telling you.

I crave this book, well not the book as much as the guidance through the gospel. It's special and unique and beautiful. You really spend time with Jesus, in a way that can't be explained without reading the book. It's really it's own experiece. It's a journey without the "40 day" pressure, but it's one that you will keep picking up because it fills you to the core.

We used this book for the Fall Session of our Women's Sunday School Class and it was so well received, we will extend it to the Winter Session! So well written and so much discussion came of the Sabbath Reflection each week. It was God's method of refreshing us and also His method of helping us take a searching and fearless moral inventory of ourselves!! Soul searching is sooooo good for the soul!!

This is a great companion book to Breathe. Our Bible study read Breathe and discussed it. Then we studied with Oxygen. It makes Bible study accessible, attainable, and rewarding!

This book completely revolutionized the way I study my Bible. It has taught me how to study in a way that is very personal. I now find myself looking forward to my Bible study time instead of rushing through it. Keri's insights have really helped me examine areas in my life that I need to work on. This devotional is accessible for many... You can put as little or as much time into it as you want. Enjoy!

Is the chaos of life getting you down? Is your to-do list drowning out the true joy you want to have? Author Keri Wyatt Kent invites us to Come and rest in the presence of God, as we seek His word in her latest book, a weekly devotional, Oxygen Deep Breathing for the Soul. Im a mother and wife, with four kids and forty loads of laundry stressing me out almost on a daily basis. But I am also a child of God, and I know He wants more for me then to just get by, get done, and get going. The Bible offers us a chance to hang around with Jesus. To read a story about him and reflect on it deeply enough that it feels like were really with him, Keri states, which, in fact, we are.Thats what Oxygen is about, "finding ways to simply spend time with Jesus To slow down, just a few minutes at a time, to notice what Jesus is like and what he has to say. With Oxygen, I can take just a few minutes a day, several times a week, and focus on one Bible verse. Keri takes one verse each week and delves into it deeply with varying readings and activities even a busy mom like me can do.The activities include deep listening, journaling, and even a breath prayer. And each reading and activity can be accomplished in your own time frame, in any order you choose. You tailor it to fit your lifestyle and schedule. I am on week one of Oxygen, and am already seeing God work in me through this wonderful devotional in big and little ways. I feel closer to God when I am in His word, and that makes me a better wife and mom.Reviewer: Trish Berg www.trishberg.com
