I am not quite finished reading this book, but am thoroughly enjoying it. Nick is an amazing young man with a lot of insight into the issues of life. I have seen Nick in person, so this book is like meat added to the bones, so to speak. Nick is completely open throughout the book and gives examples of the lives of others. His chapter on bullying is a particularly moving one. If he can keep such a positive attitude much of the time, then there is no excuse for the rest of us who have all of our limbs. It is remarkable what Nick can do without arms and legs while many of the rest of us with arms and legs never accomplish in a lifetime a quarter of what he has done in a few years. This book is full of encouragement and living proof of the grace, mercy and love of God.

I had never heard of Nick Vujicic before I read this book and let me say this man is a real inspirational Child of God. He starts his life not knowing where he will fit in. Little does he know that God has an exponentially bigger plan for his life than he could ever fathom. This book will take you through times of tears and laughter and the overwhelming presence of God.
As Nick experiences attempted suicide and heartbreaking rejection and other tough life trials. Nick finds through parents and family who trusted God and the woman who would believe in Gods perfect timing in her own life and his own faith in action that when he trust God wholeheartedly the astounding things God can and will do in his life and the lives of others. He has touched many around the world in the name of Jesus Christ.
Isaiah 55:8-9 says “For My thoughts are not your thoughts and My ways are not your ways. As the heavens are higher than the earth so are My ways higher than your ways and My thoughts than your thoughts.” This is one of the scriptures I think of as I recall the inspiring stories in this book. The other is Jeremiah 29:11 “For I know the plans I have for you says the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future”. Meaning that no matter who we are, where we come from or how many limbs we have or don’t have we are purposeful and if we let God do a work in our lives we can change lives.

Nick Vujicic’s story is a fascinating one. You may have wondered how a man with an Eastern European name would have an Australian accent. To find out, you will have to read the book or do the research. Come on, you don’t want me to spoil the fun, do you?
Born without arms or legs, Nick’s life began in a very emotional way. However, his parents, though surprised by their son’s disabilities, encouraged him to focus on something quite different than his limitations. Nick came to call them disabilities with a G and an o in front of them; God-abilities. This is the story of a man who faced tremendous hurdles from the moment he was born, was bullied and even contemplated suicide but who today has become the epitome of an overcomer by the grace of God and his faith in God put into action.
As you go through the book you will find not only his story but the story of so many others who did incredible things by a faith put into action. Read the story of Mercy Ships, of a Liberian president who became the pendulum swing of her notorious predecessor and so many more who did hard things by God’s grace and a faith that was put into action. You will read of famous people and others who are little in the eyes of the world but big in the eyes of God.
If you have been on the internet, you evidently have seen what Nick Vujicic’s example can do to young people facing bullying, feeling unloved and unwanted. There are often tears and always hugs! He gives people hope through faith in Jesus Christ.
My only criticism of the book has to do with his Gospel presentation therein. I think that he can be perceived as a universalist through much of it, he doesn’t mention sin or hell and he at one point personifies the universe as is done by those outside of Christ. “It’s said that the universe rewards action and that certainly has been true for me,” he states on page 15. In fairness, though, it becomes obvious that he is a believer and a true evangelist, encouraging others to a faith in Christ that transforms.
I highly recommend this book. It is worth your time and effort. Anyone who can excel and find the silver lining behind being born without arms and legs is worthy of our admiration and our willingness to sit and be taught of how we too can be unstoppable.

I became aware of Nick Vujicic through reading about Bethany Hamilton and when this book came up for review, I decided that it would be a good one to read. This book is inspirational book about following God, putting your faith in action and reaching out to others, even in the face of what might seem impossible challenges.
The very fact that this book is written by a successful, world traveling evangelist who was born with no arms and legs is inspirational enough to convince us that our challenges aren't bigger than God's power and his plans for our life. He also packs the book full of inspirational stories from others he has met on his path through life. Those who have influenced him and those who have been touched by him. Though usually, the inspiring seems to go both ways.
There are many reminders that our attitudes and our trust in God and his power are often bigger hurdles than the disabilities, diseases or relationships that we have that seem to be standing between us and a better life.
A couple of passages that stood out me are below:
One thing I would caution you about is that when you face an overwhelming medical problem, you may find yourself totally caught up in dealing with it, so being hill and getting healthy are all you think about. Professional counselors say it is important to accept and mange your illness, but is equally important to remember that you are still you. Don't abandon the things you love to do or the people you love to be with because you want to focus exclusively on restoring your health. The health challenge has happened to you, but don't let it take over your life or damage your sense of yourself and the value you bring into the world. You are more than this challenge.
I liked that one because, as a person facing a significant health challenge, I know that it is easy for that to become a huge focus in your life and to define you. I have enjoyed life so much more now that the diseases is just part of who I am and it is not the major focus of my life. It is always there, but it is not who I am. But, it can take awhile to get to that place and attitude.
Jessica believes that God used the illness of her body to strengthen her soul. She feels that being so sick forced her to focus on what beign a Christian and giving her life to God really meant. Through her terrible pain and the loss of the life she'd known, Jessica found a path to wisdom and understanding beyond anything she'd ever experienced before. "God wanted me to realize that life was not given to me just for my own satisfaction," she said. "In fact, that is not the purpose at all. He wanted me to realize that life as given to me so that I could bring Him glorly and be an encouragement for others. He wants the best for me, but He realizes the meaning of that more than I do.
Jessica found that meaning through surrender. "The way I view it, to surrender means giving to the Lord the things that you hold most dear. It means not holding on tightly to your idea of what will bring you happiness but trusting that He knows even better than you the desires of your heart - and that He will give you a fulfilled life even if it is not in the way that you envisioned," she said.
This is a good reminder. I think so often, we are miserable because we are holding so tightly to our idea or the world's idea of what will make us happy or what we need instead of trusting God and seeing life through His eyes. We need to surrender and obey and trust that He loves us and wants more for us than we can even imagine.
Nick deals with some tough subjects like bullying, suicidal thoughts, human trafficking, disease, etc. I appreciated the candid yet encouraging way he handled these subjects. He challenges us to look for ways to help those in need and encourages those facing difficulties.
If you are looking for an inspiring and yet challenging book to help you with your perspective on life or to encourage you in your ministry you might want to check this book out.

Unstoppable: The Incredible Power of Faith in Action is the second book by Nick Vujicic, a young man born without arms and legs who inspires millions through his stories of faith, perseverance, and triumph over adversity. In this book, he gives a glimpse into both his personal and professional life, as well as at the lives of others he's encountered along the way, and shows us the power that comes from stepping out in true faith.
I had the pleasure of listening to Nick speak at my church a few years ago, and he is a wonderful speaker.... touching, funny, engaging, and full of expression. While some of that didn't seem to come through as strongly in his book, his heart did. Two stories in particular that made an enormous impact on me were the story he told about the time that he was sidelined with depression and how he came out of it, and the story of how he met his wife.
One of the things that this book does so well is illustrates what it means not to never fall down, but how to pick yourself up when you do. His story of the time he basically shut-down, depressed over circumstances beyond his control, was a very real and powerful testimony of a flawed human being who admitted weakness and ultimately re-gained his strength through his faith in God.
And the story of meeting, dating, and ultimately marrying his wife? It's worth reading the entire book for that one story alone. Beautiful.
This was a quick and inspiring read, with an overall positive message of believing in yourself, stepping out in faith, and trusting that "with God, all things are possible."

I was really excited to read Nick Vujicic newest book, "Unstoppable (The Incredible Power of Faith in Action)". I requested this book to review because I thought reading about Nick's experiences would be an encouragement to my children, and myself as well. I received this book for free from WaterBrook Multnomah Publishing Group and I in turn am writing this review. I am so glad I requested this book as it was so encouraging and left me feeling challenged to grow in my faith as a Christian.
For those who do not know who Nick Vujicic is, he is a motivational speaker, evangelist, author and director of the nonprofit organization;" Life Without Limbs" (visit www.lifewithoutlimbs.org) . Nick was born without arms and legs with no known cause and although he had a difficult time when he was young, Nick went onto to embrace the way God made him and now he preaches the Gospel around the world to millions. Nick physical disability has given him a platform to share the good news of Jesus and to encourage so many who are hurting around the world.
Nick's book "Unstoppable" was wonderful!!! It is an easy read, and not only does Nick share many of his own personal stories, but he shares those of many of the people that he knows personally and those who have been affected by Nick's ministry. One of things I love best about Nick's book is that you can totally see Jesus working in the life of Nick and those he has come in contact with. One story Nick shared had me thinking how wonderful our God is because He is in control of every circumstance in our life, even in the tragic events. God is present and He loves us so much.
As a Christian this book encouraged and challenged me in my faith, but I believe this book would be appreciated by anyone. Nick took time to address some challenging topics in his book such as; bullying, persecution, addictions, and many more. I would read this book for those topics alone.
This book is a definite read for everyone. Thanks to WaterBrook Multomah for sending me this book.

Each chapter was inspirational but some were more applicable to my life than others. For example, the chapter on suicide seemed to drag on as I don't have suicidal thoughts, but I feel that it would be very helpful for someone going through a difficult situation like that. My favorite chapter by far was the one wherein he described his journey to love even though it seemed impossible for someone with a disability such as his. Nick's ability to overcome in every situation has challenged me to become a better person and to love more deeply. Although this book was very motivational, I found it to be a slow read. Maybe this is because nonfiction rates at the bottom of my preference list, but it definitely lowered my opinion of the book in general. Check out Nick's website http://www.lifewithoutlimbs.org/

By relating his personal experiences, as well as the experiences of others, the author, Nick Vujicic, makes a case for both trusting in God in all circumstances and for putting one's faith in action. Throughout the book the author constantly points to God's control in all things and how He orchestrates circumstances to allow people to both give and receive encouragement. God is also portrayed as the ultimate healer and the one on whom we can depend, even when things seem to be at their worst. The author refers to Scripture regularly, although I am sure some folks would have appreciated if he would have included the references/citations. However, I think the inclusion of those items would have made some of the passages very 'clunky' to read.
The only thing that prevents me from giving a full 5 star rating is that there are times when the author could almost be slipping into an infomercial for his other products and services. I don't think this was intentional, and some may even say it is understandable, given it is through his products and services that he collected the experiences and stories. Yet, it is something that can be a put off for some readers.
Overall, this was an easy read, with much encouragement.

Nick Vujicic writes his book "Unstoppable" from his experiences in life and those of his friends. Everything in this book really happened, so if you feel like you are the only one dealing with these problems he addresses, here are stories of real people like you that experienced the same things, and lived to tell about it.
The main problems that Nick speaks about are bullying, love, and going on no matter what. If you are someone who has been facing these problems, I suggest you read this book. The many stories and different experiences cover all aspects, and when Nick explains them in depth, you can get a great understanding of how to conquer and overcome your fears and troubles of life.
I think this book is mostly aimed towards those who feel a pull to ministry, who are struggling in love and having doubts about love, people who are bullied, and those that feel the need to do something about the big bullies of this world. It is still a good book to read even if you do not fall under those categories. I highly recommend this book for older people, rather then young teenagers, though it wouldn't hurt for younger ones to read it.

Nick Vuvjicic, an Australian who was born without limbs (except for a malformed foot), has inspired hundreds of thousands across the globe through his inspirational ministry. YouTube and his two websites have broadcast his message even further. His new book Unstoppable is another powerful addition to his work.
Although this book does share some personal moments from Nick's life, such as a recent visit with Rev. Billy Graham and Nick's courtship of his future wife, most of this book is about others Nick has met who have put their faith into action -- action that is unstoppable because they were acting not on their own dreams and goals, but on God's.
Personally, I can tell I am truly enjoying and benefiting from a nonfiction book if I am compelled to start taking notes as I read. (Sorry, folks, but I cannot break my teacher/student habits). Well, I have dozens of scribbled notations from this book and I spent a whole hour yesterday "googling" people and organizations that Nick wrote about. His writing made me curious about people who were living out God's purpose. I wanted to know more about them and their missions. Some of these people, such as President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf from Liberia and the founders of the Mercy Ships are recognized by the world's standards, but most like the father who started the Jeremiah Project 51 are recognized within a much smaller radius. However, they, too are "unstoppable" because they are following the path the Lord has placed before them.
At one point in the book, Nick talked about being in the short film Butterfly Circus where he met actor Eduardo Verastegui who almost walked away from a successful movie/television career because his ungodly life in Hollywood was killing him mentally and emotionally. With the help of his language tutor, he needed to listen to the silent voice telling him to change - not his profession but his choices within that profession. Now Eduardo seeks out projects that reflect positive images of his culture and his faith. From that passage, I have a list of several movies to check out.
Although Nick spends much of the book focusing on other Christians, I still feel the biggest message comes from the many times he witnessed that his physical presence has been a strong catalyst of change for others. Seeing him being joyful about life and finding purpose has helped others understand that we all have purpose in God's eyes. I believe that is one of the reasons that teens flock to his engagements and his online sites. Adolescence is a dark time when almost all question their value and purpose. Many feel hopeless and unloved. Nick's life, his videos, and now his writings answer back, strong and clear. We are all loved. We all have purpose. Be patient. Seek your father and you will know. For those of us who know that message, Vujicic's book has one more message-
there is great power to be discovered if we take the step to put our faith in action.
I received this book for review purposes. I was not required to write a positive review.

Inspirational and upbeat book

Unstoppable: The Incredible Power of Faith in Action is the second inspirational book written by Nick Vujicic - motivational speaker, evangelist, author, and director of the nonprofit organization Life Without Limbs. Born with a rare disorder characterized by the absence of all four limbs, Nick shares from his wealth of personal experiences that took him from suicidal thoughts at a young age to becoming an internationally famous motivational speaker, in combination with personal stories from the hurting people he has ministered to through his world travels.
I began reading this book thinking I had never heard of Nick Vujicic, but I quickly became aware of glimpses I had seen of him in the media and was eager to learn more. I loved his message and don't believe I've ever read a more upbeat book. A sense of humor is one of his greatest gifts: When there was a problem with his visa, he asked an embassy official, "Is there a problem with my fingerprints on the visa?" While anyone would be inspired by Nick's testimony, it would especially touch people who think they're alone in their suffering.
Many passages spoke to me, but here are a few of my favorites:
-- "God's vision of your life is far greater than anything you might imagine."
-- "I keep a pair of shoes in my closet because I believe in miracles, but there is no greater miracle than seeing someone come to God."
-- "Humility is an interesting virtue because if you don't have it, sooner or later it's given to you."
-- "My self-destructive urges came when I lost faith and focused on what I could not do rather than what I could."
-- "If you put 'Go' in front of 'disable' you'll get 'God is able'."
One of Nick's stories that stood out to me is that of Eduardo Verastegui, a popular actor who turned away from a successful career to making films with a positive message. His first project was a movie that I loved, Bella, and which had a life-changing effect on many women considering abortion. Chapter 7, which deals with bullying, is also a strong chapter.
Maybe Unstoppable's narrative could be a little tighter, maybe it includes a little too many stories, but it is easily readable and packs a powerful message. Nick never fails to deflect attention away from himself and to the One he serves. Nick was privileged to meet with Billy Graham and has taken his advice to heart: "Your job is to preach the truth and only the truth of the gospel without targeting certain people or groups. The truth is powerful, and it will set hearts free."
In that this book offers inspiration, help and encouragement, I can recommend it to anyone. But I would especially recommend it for those dealing with physical disability or serious illness.
This book was provided by WaterBrook Press through the Blogging for Books program in exchange for my honest review.

When Nick Vujicic says that God wants us to have a Ridiculously Good Life, he does not mean that we will have
A Big Income.
Fancy Vacation.
Two Homes.
Perfect Health.
No. None of those things. If that was his message, he would not have been able to preach it to the people he does. Nick has told men dying of AIDs in prison. Elderly ladies in a nursing homes. Girls in India who had been kidnapped and sold into the brutalizing "sex trade." When Nick says that we can all have a ridiculously good life he is telling the truth. As R. C Sproul Jr says, "The Good Life is knowing God". And I would add, knowing and loving your brethren. That is what Nick is saying. The Ridiculously Good Life is a life of rich relationships and Christian Service. Christ can reach us anywhere, rescue us from any sin, and comfort us in any pain. God our Father can show us His love in the prison or the nursing home. And then we can take and give this love to the world in Christ's Name. People made in the image of God need our help and love in schools where innocent victims are being bullied and the men and women who are self destructing, believing the cunning, deadly lies of the enemy that there is no hope, and attempting suicide all around us. And some succeed. Those who don't often live with the shame of having tried. Having failed to "have it all together". And we as the Church, so often don't know how to reach them. We don't want to get involved in anybody's business. We fear being pushed away. We aren't sure how to tell them there is Hope. Hope in Christ and Him alone. That is the message Nick brings. God is love. God loves you. God's kindness towards you should cause you to repent of your sins and trust Him. This book is filled with examples of absolute brokenness, transformed by God who rescues His children. Nick is no stranger to doubt, fear, and pain. As a boy he feared being a burden to his parents and told himself he would die so as not to burden them. How wrong he was! His parents thank God for blessing them with their son! Nick feared that no woman would love him. Wrong again! My favorite photo is on the back flap- Nick and his beautiful wife. They look so happy together.
There is a lot worth thinking about here. We as the Church need to think, and ACT to stop bullying, suicide, desperation, hopelessness. I love the stories about how God has used Nick in the lives of other children born without limbs. He tells us about one lovely little girl and one dear little boy especially, that he has been able to work with their parents to show them that their baby is not going to have a horrible life-not at all!!! God even used Nick in a village where the people were murdering the babies born without limbs. When they saw him, and his joy and energy, they saw that their children could grow up to do good things. Missionaries report that there have been no more killings in those villages after Nick visited.
In one story that Nick recounts he quotes a man who talks about how his Church stepped up and began to work and live in the community to make a difference. They took over doing things that the city could not pay to have done. They found out that when the Church moved out into the community, the community realized that there was something different about the Church. This is so true and needful. Last week we drove into town and along a street full of bars. On the left hand side was historic, stone and brick Churches. I could not help but wonder if the men and women in those buildings ever reached out to the people on the streets, the lost souls who are entering the temples of drunkenness. Somewhere in the story, someone said that they realized that doctrine needed to stop dividing them. What I can do to help us understand this is to quote Ravi Zacharias, who said that doctrinal differences come in two kinds, Form and Substance. Form is a difference in the outward way we do things. Substance is a real difference in what we believe. We must reach out, and we must give each other Grace. We must not ever give up doctrine. We need to reach out in real ways with the Love of God. Doctrine, the systematized Truths of the Faith, tell us what Love is, and Who God is. Without those doctrines we could never give people the true, saving Message. In other words, we need the Faith in action!
Nick Vujicic is an inspirational speaker as well as running two ministries Attitude is Altitude and Life without Limbs He was married in February of 2012, to the love of his life Kanae. They are expecting their first baby.

Unstoppable by Nick Vujicic is a great inspirational book. Nick was born without any limbs and through his adversity and difficult circumstances, he has been reaching out to others who are going through their own adversity and difficult circumstances.
Through his story and those of others, Nick encourages the reader to be unstoppable in their life, no matter the circumstances. To do this, you put your faith into action wherever you are. The way to do that is to seek after God and allow Him to show you the way of life. Some topics covered in the book are health and disability concerns, feeling out of control, relationship issues, bullying, and more.
I was moved by the stories that were shared as well as motivated to go out and help the poor and needy, which is commanded of believers to do in the Bible. Nick can give you the push you need to search those people out and give of yourself.

In "Unstoppable" Nick Vujicic shares about obstacles and victories that have happened in his life from being born with no arms and legs. He gives real examples of some situations that have happened to him that also happen to people who are born with arms and legs. For instance, he was leading a ministry and ran into an economic crisis that generated hardships in his life on different levels. He also shares about his evangelist efforts that have reached many people throughout the world.
I feel pretty confident that "Unstoppable" will be an encouragement for many people with and without disabilities to allow God to use them in spite of their difficulties, often in ways that go beyond their thinking. The support that was given to Nick when he was going through hardships was evident to me; I hope that more people will be sent support in their lives while they are going through difficulties and setbacks. I discerned by reading this book that Nick has a way of noticing when some people are hurting, people he has never met who are sometimes out in a crowd.
Nick’s words were an encouragement to me as I read this book. There were times when discouragement crept up on me after I read it and I thought back to what I read in this book and it made me feel more encouraged.
*Note: The eBook version I received does not have the pictures that the hardback book version does, which is why I am giving it a 4 and why I give the hardback version a 5.
I received the “Unstoppable” eBook free from Waterbrook Multnomah for this review. I was not required to write a positive review. The opinions I have expressed are my own.

Faith in action is a powerful, encouraging and inspiring thing. Nick Vujicic, author of Life Without Limbs, shares his feelings, convictions and experiences regarding faith in this book. Nick was born without arms or legs, and has grown to become an internationally- known motivational speaker. Using his own experiences, and the story of others, he explores areas such as control, trust, God’s plan for you, love, self-inflicting pain, depression, suicide, and many others.
I did enjoy this book, I enjoyed Nick’s humor, and ability to express his point by telling a story, and he did make some good, thought-provoking statements on faith. However, there were a couple of things I didn’t like. For example, Nick seemed to go off topic several times, and also seemed to be very repetitive at times.Overall, though, this was an encouraging book that I would recommend to you. I WOULD be cautious of letting younger audiences read, however, due to the fact that drugs, suicide, and sexual slavery are, at times, discussed.

Unstoppable by Nick Vujicic is a book that took me to places I usually don’t visit and drove me to really consider the correlation between faith and my daily walk. It left me hovering between liking the message and feeling as though something was missing.
I remember seeing a video of Nick Vujicic one Sunday during morning worship. His story was amazing due to the pure joy he exuded while living with the fact he was missing his arms and legs. So, when I was given the opportunity to review his new book for Waterbook Press, I was all over it.
Overall, the book was enjoyable and inspiring. It abounds with great examples of people who have not let their circumstances define their view of who God is. I also enjoyed how Nick was vulnerable with his own struggles and invited me to try to comprehend (as much as I possibly could) how hard life can be for someone with “disabilities.” He pulls no punches with his inner struggles when mistakes were made that to him to the brink of depression. He also weaves a story of how his belief in how real faith in God can lead anyone to shifting the paradigm of their current situation.
While working my way through the book, there was a realization of how my life in insulated in regards to those who are hurting. Some of the issues are ones I have dealt with in my life: such as unemployment, self-image issues as a teen and reaping the results of bad decisions. It was the other topics that made me a little uncomfortable. However, when having to come face to face with bullying, cutting, thoughts of suicide, I started to feel my spiritual eyes trying to shift focus so that I might begin seeing those around me differently. It is these issues that many of our churches do not address. They are also topics that we as Christians hide because of fear of rejection or the belief our faith is just not strong enough.
As I finished the book, I took notice that something seem to be missing in all the stories. It took me a little time to discover what was tugging at me and then I realized what is was: even though Nick was giving people who read the book hope in their circumstances, he missed the opportunity to lay out the Gospel in a way those who may not be Christians might understand. There was a lot of talk about God and Jesus, but it felt to me that when the reader gets to the final page, faith will be seen as just another self-help tool instead of a potential relationship with the one who died for our sins. I know in my heart that this was not the intention, but unfortunately, many people who do not have a personal relationship with Christ will not be challenged to seek it out.

This is a great inspirational read. I like how Nick uses his abilities to help inspire others to faith. His testimony is quite touching and I love the fact that he has come to a place of being very thankful that God made him the way He did. The main theme of this book is "faith in action". It's used everywhere. What a great theme to have, sounds quite familiar to another book - James. He gives many excellent examples of people who have different degrees of pain and trials in their lives and how they have overcome through faith in Christ. It doesn't mean their pain or their trials go away, they just now have hope and a purpose. This is a very practical book that gives practical answers to sometimes difficult questions. He really reaches out to the reader to do something, like putting your faith into action. It's a no excuses book. We all have talents and abilities that God has given us, we are called to use them. Very good read.

You’ve surely seen a video by Mr. Vijicic. If you are like me, I imagine it held your attention. He’s a Christian and an advocate for folks with disability to live life to the fullest, to reject the stereotypes that disabled individuals often face, and live beyond discouragement.
This is his second book, here published by Waterbrook Press, that follows up his very successful first volume Life Without Limits. The cover gives you an idea of what you might be in for with this book and Mr. Vujicic. The subtitle”The Incredible Power of faith in Action” accurately defines the ground he covers.
The book begins with him telling you how successful and busy he has been. If that were to hit you wrongly, he will quickly mute it when he tells you the emotional crisis he has gone through the last few years. He relates that although the first book and speaking ministry have been successful, his company almost crashed at the low point of our economy. This shortly after he had expanded the company, hired new people, and let his parents pull up stakes to move here from Australia to help. His Dad is an accountant and a classic believer in fiscal responsibility! He fell into deep depression and really spares none of the gory details when he tells the story. What he learned and how he dealt with it is worthy reading. He relates to a secret suicide attempt in childhood because of the sadness of what he imagined his life would be. He encourages us in showing how he, a motivational speaker, had to relearn a lesson he should have known well. I can relate to the relearning thing for sure.
In another story he tells about the highs and lows of the journey of God bringing his wonderful wife to him. It is as gripping as a novel, except he draws out real life lessons from the ordeal. You find yourself cheering when he gets her.
The rest of the book is not as good, but he addresses practical matters illustrated by stories of people he met along the way of his ministry. His dealing with bullies, since he had much experience with it, was well done.
The book is in no way theological. It is motivational, with a big you-can-do-it push. It does declare on several occasions that the Lord is also critical to handling adversity, but that is not so carefully brought out. Still, for what this book tries to do, it really succeeds. You will be inspired!

I'm not too sure why I chose this book at first. It just sounded interesting. I don't typically read these kinds of books.
What kind? you ask. Well, the really encouraging, super positive kind, written by guys whose last names I can't pronounce. Haha! I tend to go for the ones that make me question everything in my life, cry rivers, and overuse my brain.
This is by far one of the most positive books I've ever read.
I wasn't sure I'd like it at first but after getting through the first chapter I knew I would.
Nick Nujicic was born without arms or legs. Can you imagine that? Um, yeah, me neither. I tried to, but I just kept coming back to how strong of a person you have to be to go through life without either of those things. I thanked God for giving me arms and legs. I'm dramatic enough without that problem thank you very much. :P
He's super positive about it though. Nick said he's struggled before with why God would place him on earth without them, but then He showed him why. He's a motivational speaker (and in this case, a writer too!). Unstoppable... yes he chose a perfect title because you'll think of that word over and over while you read this book.
My favorite chapter had to be chapter 3 where Nick talks about some of his struggles and how he met his wife (ladies, the story will have you smiling and possibly crying it's so sweet! ^_^ ).
If you're going through a tough time I think this book is a good choice because God just might show your pretty little mind some new ways of thinking (more praise-worthy, less complaining). :)

I really enjoyed reading this book. I've heard of Nick Vujicic through Youtube before and it was nice to actually read his story. With so many negative influences in the world, I am always looking for uplifting role models. This book covered many inspirational stories- both Nick's personal stories and those of other people. Beyond talking about his own struggles and pain, he also opens it wide up to show you that others have been through terrible things and came out strong. The point behind these inspirational stories is to show you that it doesn't matter what you're going through, if you keep your head up, then you too could be an incredible inspiration.
What I loved about this book is that he's honest and raw. And, as he says, it's really hard opening up the deep, dark parts of your life to people, especially what could end up being hundreds of thousands of people worldwide.
Even from a nonrelegious standpoint, his book is incredible. I cried a few times, I laughed a few times, I loved it.
