Not at all a list of musts and must nots..instead a journey through scriptures in the Old and New Testaments that open our eyes to see our relationship with the Lord - to examine our walk with Him. We see examples in the OT of how the Israelites walked - when they ignored God and the ramifications of that, and when they cried out and recognized God for who He was (is); and in the NT how we are to pray individually and as a body of believers - in light of who He is and His death on the cross for our sins. The last chapter is "Jesus Prayed" and I've only started the chapter, but what an amazing impact it has had on me already when you pause and consider the example that Jesus left for us. "That Righteous Man truly was and is the Son of God who triumphed over sin and death. He lives today to live in us, to lead us in a walk with Himself and the Father by the power and presence of His Spirit. He wants us to experience the joy of that walk as He leads us in praying God's way and has assured us that we can experience joy by His power and work." (Day Four Ch. 12) There are 12 chapters in the book and we divided it among 22 weeks for a ladies' Bible study. Lots of good, solid, biblical content - be prepared for your heart to change if you'll humble yourself before Him to learn of Him!

I love this study!! Just about 1/3 way through because it just arrived a little while ago. I LOVE the true old fashioned BIBLE BASIS of this, as I am finding that becoming more and more a rarity even in evangelical church. The swing seems to be more in the way of men's books, instead of Bible basics. Again, I love this so much. I have not started the "Defending Your Faith" or "Kings of the Old Testament" because I want to do one at a time, but glancing through them I am excited to get into those studies also. I am so hungry for God's Word, as there seems to be a "famine of the Word" nowadays. Thank you so much and I am looking forward to ordering more in this series as I complete these. Janet Maffia

I love this book because it helps me to see where I am and what I am doing wrong in my prayer life. I am sure it will address issues I am having with my studying about prayer.
