Michelle5 Stars Out Of 5June 1, 2010MichelleThis book offered much more than I expected. I originally bought it for my mother as a mother's day present, but ended up buying one for myself as well because of the truth and encouragement I found in Elliot's words. Whether you are single, married, or widowed, this book will draw you to Christ and God's promises for those who trust in him.

Ann Wade5 Stars Out Of 5January 12, 2008Ann WadeHaving gone through the death of a loved one and now finding myself a single person in a world of couples I find this book understands exactly how I feel and what I am going through! It is good to know that what I am feeling is NORMAL!!! That I am not the only one! I think this book will be a great deal of help to many people who are going through the toughest time of their lives. God bless Elisabeth Elliot for sharing all this information.

With my wedding post-poned, my fiance not really speaking to me, and a lot of questions, this book came at the PERFECT time. The Path of Loneliness... Elisabeth Elliot touches on the fact that our circumstances may be confusing, painful, and lonely, but our God is always there, and what He can do in us and through us on this path is an exciting adventure. I recommend this book to EVERYONE!

Pam5 Stars Out Of 5Best book on loneliness and God's blessings in the midst of itMarch 4, 2024PamQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5I love this book. I am a widow and have a sisterhood group (widows) who meet in my home twice a month to laugh, cry, study and pray together as we travel this path of loneliness. Elisabeth calls it a gift - one that we never asked for, but one that God has given us. This book has encouraged us to offer whatever He gives to us in love back to Him as a sacrifice of praise. Elisabeth's testimony and legacy to Christians everywhere lives on to the Glory of God and to the encouragement of all believers. Highly recommend!

iluvmesumuBaltimore, MDAge: 25-34Gender: female5 Stars Out Of 5Pain is Gods megaphoneApril 30, 2022iluvmesumuBaltimore, MDAge: 25-34Gender: femaleQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5She shared her experiences with loneliness, being married three times. Loneliness is a wilderness that brings you closer to God. Singles are considered misfits of society. Loneliness is not relieved with someones company, it has to be someone there when I need them. We will always feel lonely until we allow God to fill the void. God accepts our offerings like a father accepts a gift from a child that hes giving them money to purchase it. God acknowledges our shortcomings and created us to depend on Him. Receive loneliness as a gift offering it back to God as a pathway to holiness.Similar to physical maturity gives us ability to reproduce its the same with spiritual maturity.
