Indigo Burns is excited. Her wedding preparations to the man of her dreams are under way, her career as a photographer is a success, and her family seems to be doing better than ever--all except her brother Reuben who nobody has seen in years. But that's about to change, because Reuben has decided to move back home to Jubilant, Texas. But Reuben's hope to find healing with his sisters doesn't seem to be working. Soon enough their lives intersect in dramatic, sometimes painful, and ultimately healing ways.

This third book in Stacy's series can't be the end. I don't want it to be. I want to read more about the families in Jubilant, and the stories the characters have to tell. Dreams that Won't Let Go continues the story of Reuben and his young family's arrival back into the lives of his siblings and the grandparents who raised them. There is more than a little bit of resentment on his sisters' parts when he gets all the attention, though he never asked for it. Yasmin wants to start modeling again and causes her own drama within the family that shakes them up, yet brings them together at the same time. And Indigo is trying to plan a wedding but nobody seems to be paying attention. My favorite character in this book was Reuben's wife, who happens to be visually impaired. She really touched my heart because I know people like her. They present as competent and in control and yet there is a vulnerable side to all women, even competent ones. I thought it was sweet that he saw her need for him. That was a moving scene when she woke and he wasn't there. Reuben was a good guy and a great husband to her. I loved how she touched all of his family and helped bridge the gap between them with her assured and loving ways. I also liked how the pastor was brought into the family circle to help them all heal. That shows a great example of how the church can be effective when people need help and the pastor is truly there for them. Overall, I enjoyed this book, but I have to say my favorite in the series was the second book, Worth a Thousand Words. But any book Stacy writes is a good story. She has a unique writing style and voice that always holds my attention.

Dreams That Won't Let Go by Stacy Hawkins Adams is the third book in her powerful Jubilant Soul series about the Burns family of Jubilant, Texas. Indigo Burns is counting down the last few weeks before her wedding to soulmate Max when her brother Reuben announces his return from living out of state. Their parents become so focused on his homecoming after ten years away that Indigo can't help but feel resentful of the attention, and when youngest sister Yasmin disappears it's apparent that she's been wounded by it as well. I really enjoy Adams' books, because they are populated by real people with real problems. Reuben, Indigo, and Yasmin are all still struggling with the death of their real parents almost twenty years ago and it impacts every aspect of their lives. The author focuses in on how secrets and hidden hurts can create distance within a family. God wants us to be open and honest with each other about our pain, especially within the family unit where we can best deal with it, and Adams illustrates that point beautifully here. Another thing I love about this series is that each volume skips a few years into the future giving the reader the opportunity to see characters learn from their mistakes and truly grow from them. I look forward to seeing what will happen next with Yasmin.

I have a spot in my heart for the Burns family forever. We find grandparents Irene and Charles, who raised their three grandchildren, Reuben, Indigo, and Yasmin, after a tragic car accident that killed their parents and left Reuben the sole survivor, who now carries much guilt. Sometimes, we struggles occur raising children. We can either hover over them, smothering them with love, or check out and allow them to find their own way. Reuben left home after feeling smothered, went to college, married a beautiful woman, who has overcome blindness, and has raised a son and never returned home until now. He has secrets and scars holding him back. Indigo is planning a wedding with the man of her dreams, but she is harboring anger for her brother. Yasmin wants to follow her dreams, but as she feels she is being held back, she leaves home to find herself. This move by Yasmin leaves her parents now feeling as though they have made horrible mistakes. No family is perfect, and this story shows we don't have to pretend. We have to be honest and not hold back our feelings and dreams, along with our fears. It is when they learn to let go of these things that the Lord brings their family together as one. Sometimes it is in coming home when we finally realize who we are. The Lord shines throughout this story of forgiveness and redemption. I was touched greatly by this story that shows unconditional love is the key to growth and family. Come to Jubilant, Texas into the Burns family and you will walk away blessed. This is number three in the series, but this book can easily stand alone. This book was a gift from Revell for its review.

I really like this book. This is the third book in the Jubilant Soul series, however, the events in this book didn't leave me confused so it could be read as a stand alone title or in the series. As I read this book I saw that the author, Stacy Hawkins Adams, was able to draw on a topic( I won't elaborate as I don't want to give spoilers!) that can be very real in today's world. A wonderful job! I could see my self in these amazing characters. The author did a fantastic job blending these characters in a beautiful way. You can really see these characters reaching out for their dreams. But most of all, they are leaning on God and praying to Him, and that movement of God was felt deep in my heart. The author adds just the right amount of secrets and twists to make this a bit suspenseful, but at the same time, she adds a lot of love to this book...the love of family and the true meaning of Dreams. Throw in a just a bit of humor and you have a wonderful page-turning read, that I give 5 stars to and high praises! Please grab a copy of this book today! *This book was provided for review by Revell, a division of Baker Publishing Group*
