The book covers the basic foundations of walking with the Lord... For many who have been walking with the Lord for a while now the study might be nothing new but the emphasis on practically living out what we have heard has been to me a new insight on how to live up to my high calling in Christ Jesus.
I have found myself stepping out and living up in ways i would have shied away earlier - found that i was finding time through out the day to focus on truth for the day.....
Each day i find myself anxiously looking foward to the time devotion wherein I have experienced the Lord speaking to me in new ways...

I took the dare! (Only, it took me more like 45 days to do it then just the 30~ SHAME ON ME! I'm a busy mom to 5... I know, I know, that's no excuse!)The dare challenges you with practical dares that make complete since! Here are a few of the dare:Dare to pay attention to God's leadDare to live differently by liking like are loved (Good dare, beautiful scriptures!)Dare to believe God's power in all circumstancesDare to renew you mind in God's wordDebbie has done an awesome job! I think that this would make a great gift for a new believer, a church leader and an awesome devotional to work through as a small group.Devotionals took me a 40 minutes to get through. Mainly because I turned to the scriptures in my Bible to read in a different version and to mark up my Bible with some new favorites and truths.

Faith Dare, Debbie AlsdorfAn excellent resource for womens ministry groups! This would be a great small group bible or personal bible study. I loved all the scripture commentary. So many ladies bible studies are filled with fluff and weak on the word. This one is certainly not. This is set up as a forty day study. However I found that many of these could very easily be stretched through the entire week if you were committed to pray each day over the same lesson and meditate on it allowing it to penetrate your heart and life. There is plenty of space for journaling ones thoughts. To make journaling easier there are guided questions. Again this would be great for a small group as it would add accountability to the dare.Thank you Revell for the review copy. Pick up your copy where ever Revell books are sold

On each of the 30 days I spent reading Faith Dare by Debbie Alsdorf, I found myself meditating on the important things of life. Faith Dare is a 30-day journey of self reflection, awareness of faith, and learning to flow with the life God has prepared for you. In the first ten day of the study, the dare is to Live UP! In relationship to God. Instead of looking in the mirror at self, or across the cafe table at your friends, you're challenged to look up and see yourself from God's view. The next ten days, you're challenged to LIVE IN! and surrender self to a life of beauty and grace in the eyes of the Father. Finally, you complete the last ten days living in relationship to others. When you LIVE OUT! you focus on how you reflect God's love to others. There is no excuse for not taking the 30 day Faith Dare. Start your day reading the short lessons, write a sentence of two about how God is speaking to you (there is ample room to write on the pages of the book)and spend your day focused on living your life to the fullest. You will not be disappointed in this book and after reading it, you'll want to give copies to your Mom, sister, and best friend.
