Both books take you to the shores of Lake Manawa in Iowa - the detailed descriptions make you feel as if you are actually there. Well worth reading for not only the outer story but also the inner journey taken by the main characters who are well developed.
I liked the first book, but will confess A Great Catch was even better to my liking. Ms. Seilstad struck a homerun!
