SET Enterprises Quiddler: The Short Word Game

Quiddler, the short word game, is a breakthrough in word games. Because short words can lead to winning, even young readers can play and win. The challenge is to arrange your entire hand into words. Try to use those high point letters, but don't get caught with them uncombined! It's a fast-paced game because you can play using everyday words. This set contains 118 cards and instructions on how to play the game. Quiddler is a delightful challenge for both rookies and word game lovers! Recommended for 1 to 8 players, ages 8 to adult.

I bought this game based solely on description and reviews - we have not been disappointed! The more we play it, the more we like it. We have brought it out at two game days now with friends and it has been a hit. Game play: game consists of eight hands. The first hand everyone is dealt three cards, each subsequent hand has one card added so that by the eighth and final hand, there are ten cards. You basically have to make words with the cards in your hand, drawing and discarding to accomplish this. You lay down your hand, with word or words and you MUST have one discard! (This part gets frustrating because sometimes you want to use all your cards, but it also makes it interesting!) My six year old has played with us, he enjoys the game but needs help rearranging the cards in his hand and "seeing" the words. (He rated this game 4 stars.) Overall, we really enjoy this game and it works well with kids, adults, and groups - we recommend Quiddler!

Great game for all ages to play together. The younger ones can spell easier words, while the older ones can spell harder words. Lots of fun and very portable!

We enjoy playing Quiddler. We have the game Set also and love playing it as well. Quiddler is a similar to Scrabble, but less time consuming and easier to include different age groups.

Absolutely loved this game. Played with six adults...lots of laughing, giggling and thinking hard to help a person with a challenge. Moves fast. But all loved it.

This is a terrific, fun, game. You don't need to be a spelling genius to play and the game moves along faster than Scrabble, and with much greater ability for all age players to be successful, so children can enjoy playing with adults as well. Try it...you'll be hooked!
