Design A Study Critical Conditioning

Your child's thinking skills are much like an athlete's muscles---they need conditioning. This supplement shows you how students can build comprehension by carefully analyzing various elements of fiction and nonfiction works. The gains of this mental "workout" are improved reasoning, reading comprehension, and study skills. A fine teaching tool for grades K to 8, and a handy reference for grades 9 to 12. 90 pages, softcover.

it a good book to add to your lesson plan. The book helps you through it and it has a chapter in it for each grade...

I have used all of Kathryn's Design-a-Study for twelve years now, and they are all excellent. It's wonderful to have a resource which allows me flexibility and lots of ideas for creativity while covering core facts. Every year, for every grade, I pick these books up and use them again -- either singly or in combination with each other. For example, Critical Conditioning works well with Science Scope or Comprehensive Composition as a framework for teaching thinking and writing skills. Great product!
