Fun book to read on Martin Luther. Worth the extra couple of bucks as this newer version has better font type compared to the older version and seems like a brand new book just written by the author. Very Nice.
Excellent book adds to your church history collection

I am enjoying reading this book even though the author writes at a level not everyone will appreciate. He uses term from the Roman Catholic faith without explaining them. It's written at college level, so be warned. It should be read in conjunction with the book, "Christless Christianity," to understand how the Evangelical church today needs a reformation of the gospel, the same as in Martin Luther's times.

"Here I Stand" is an excellent historical book of faith, courage, suffering, torment, fortitude, perseverance, hope, conviction, loyalty & love. It's difficult to read Luther without getting one's soul & mind stirred up to stand on the Word of God & persevere; to stand up for what is right & true, to persevere through suffering and oppression and not give up. The work he did, the influence he had was and still is immeasurable. We have much to learn from Luther, not only in his public life but his personal life as well. This is an outstanding book & I'd highly recommend it to everyone, and especially to young men & women because we don't see this kind of courage & integrity in our world today.
