While Psalm 51 is a psalm of repentance, it is also a psalm filled with great encouragements. In a recent life low point, a careful and meditative read through "Whiter Than Snow" was more uplifting than I can express in a few words. But such a book, and such a psalm is not to be left for the low points in life only. I believe it would benefit each of us to review, at least yearly, our absolute helpless condition apart from the cleansing, forgiving love that God freely extents to a broken and repentant heart. Psalm 51 and "Whiter Than Snow" are perfect for such an exercise. If you think you're beyond God's ability to love you as deeply as the best person you may know - think again, and give yourself fully to the God of infinite grace.

This is one of the best daily meditation and devotional studies I have experienced. This is an in-depth study of Psalm 51, David's repentence over his adultery and sexual sin. There are 52 daily studies of various verses of Psalm 51, with two questions to consider and journal about each day. I will make this an annual part of my quiet time studies. Thank you Paul Tripp!

This book is written so well, and I was so blessed by how it ministered to my heart through Psalm 51. I would highly recommend to someone who is struggling with showing mercy to a loved one.

This is a small book that requires slow reading. It is suggested by the author that each reading take a week. While I don't do that, I do take one at a time and sometimes spend more than one day on each. Some readings are encouraging, some are more convicting. All are based on Psalm 51, David's repentance after being convicted by his sin with Bathsheba. Though I've had the book for some time, I am not very far into it because it does require time.
