This was actually purchased as a gift for a friend. I already read it and wanted to share it but didn't want to give up my copy. God's gift is freely offered, all we need to do is grab it.

I read MANY reviews on this book before I purchased it and most said it was "life changing". I decided to give it a try, but since I've read so many books along the same line, with the promise of "this will change your life", I was a bit reluctant. I am still in utter awe of how it is truly changing my life ~ my perceptions, my marriage, my family relationships, etc.! All because I finally see the lies that Shame has gotten me to believe that go way back to my childhood. Not only do I see the lies, I see the affects of the lies and how most everything I think, do, say, and feel is a direct result of believing those lies! An abusive father got me believe I was worthless and not good enough, but I'm finding we all believe that to some degree. It's the same old lie Satan used in the Garden to get Adam and Eve to sin. Which led to the Curse. But these authors lay out The Cure to that curse in such a beautiful way! I've been so taken in by it that I also bought and just finished Bo's Cafe, which is a "novel" depicting all the realities of The Cure, and it too was excellent! I'm now going to buy the workbook and start a Community of Grace in my home with other women who need these truths desperately! I also listen to the podcasts and watch the videos and read the blog posts that all go along with the Truefaced teachings. So rich and so freeing! I'm a "root getter", not a "symptom chaser", so this book was for me!! If you are ready to deal with your issues at the core of them, buy this book, and find a community of Grace of your own. And if you're like me and can't find one, start one! I'm so excited to start my group in a just a couple weeks! Enjoy this book and the freedom it will bring you and those you love as you get and apply these principles! I've bought several copies to share with friends.

This is one of the best books I have ever read. The message (Gospel) of being a new persson in Christ as articulated in this book has helped me understand what so many others have said, yet this impacted me in such a way that my life is not the same. My ministry and life is one of walking in my or HIs first love. this book gives freedom and empowerment. Great for counseling as well.

Get this book and read it right away!
Every Christ follower must focus on trusting God as his/her primary focus. We must stop following the false gospel of sin-management (Sin already taken care of once for all on the cross). Our desire to and accomplishment of pleasing God will flow out of a heart of peace and love as he deeply trust Him.
The main thing is to keep the main thing the main thing: trust Him and everything else will flow out of your life by the H.S.
