Having read almost everything Lee Strobel has ever written, I was intrigued to find that he had edited a Study Bible. When this sixty dollar Bible went on sale for less than $13, I couldn't pass it up. I just received it today and it I am completely thrilled. It has a wealth of information in it, is well made and is also visually appealing. Even $60 would have been a good deal for this beautiful edition. I can't wait to dig in!

I love this bible! I bought two for agnostic friends and they just want to get into it and flip the pages and read it. Coming from a skeptic, it's easy for them to relate to. My prayer is that they will find the truth. They. Now have the Word!

I am discovering some new benefits to this bible and just this morning I noticed the wonderful maps in the back. I love having the articles throughout the bible because having the answers right there when I am reading is just so helpful. Also after sitting under Lee's teaching over the years both in Chicago and in CA, I can just "hear" him teaching me in his Chicago accent! :-)

This 1984 NIV edition is covered in a soft, pretty, pink and brown. I love the way the text is set on the page with quite a bit of margin space and a double-column format. The print is a light brown color, so it may not be easily read by someone with older eyes. The Bible is fairly large so you probably don't want to carry it around a lot. The Case for Christ articles are interesting and easily understood. There are not a large amount of verse by verse notes. My daughter's names was imprinted on the front very nicely.

The cover is nice and soft. The pages are thinner than I hoped for but the quality is excellent. Because of the changes the NIV team has decided to make, I am grateful this in the 1984 printed version because I will not be purchasing another NIV. I am very pleased with my purchase.

We are big fans of the author; he used to be one of our teaching Pastors. It's a great study bible with loads of notes and comments. The maps and other special features help make it a wonderful addition to our library.

I was very disappointed when I sat down to read the study Bible, only to find out that when referring to God or Jesus, the lettering was not capitalized. God's name and Jesus' name only were capitalized, but never when used in context of "He said", or "by His word". I have never seen any Bible that did not show God and Jesus the respect They deserve and leaving reference to Them in just plain lettering. I have sent the Bible back. I am sorry, but I feel is was very disrespectful to put any reference to Them in just plain lettering.

This is an outstanding Bible, Lee Strobel did an excellent job, especially with the set-up, (i.e. Case for Christ Notes, Case for the Bible Notes, etc.). The articles are clear and easy to understand for those that have just begun their journey of following Yeshua, and they make witnessing and discussing topics much easier. Lee's choice of using the New International Version is very refreshing. I own several translations, including the Interlinear Greek-Hebrew-English Bible, and after much comparison, the NIV is very reliable and accurate. So for those who may haven't ever used the NIV and want this study Bible, rest easy and order a copy. It's a powerful addition to any Christian's arsenal.

I originally bought this book intending to give as a gift, however, after reading the case for christ, had to see for myself what was in this book! I loved the letters that were mixed in between the passages, which are taken from the case for christ, however I dont think this is good if you want to get into deeper questions. I absolutely believe this book is good, but has a certain purpose, something that would be good for anyone who has a lot of doubts about the whether jesus was real, and it definately proves it, I think it is perfect for anyone who is in the doubting Thomas stage of thier journey, and perfect for any family to have around the house with children, as they will benefit from it. Although I gave this one to friends I will buy another, just to have in case my children would want to pick it up, and have a little extra faith encouragement.

I have just discovered Lee Strobel's books and when I saw this Bible I was intrigued. Instead of reading a few books I can read the Bible as I am learning from his insights and facts. Love it! I would rather read the Bible than a study book and this format is great. I believe it even gets me into reading scripture more often than just a morning study and devotional. Well done.

The Bible itself is sturdy and well constructed so that it will last for many years. The Book Introductions are helpful. Most of all I like the Case for Christ, Creator and Faith Articles. These give practical answers to questions many Christians and non Christians alike ask.
