I have purchased 10 or so of these bilingual Bibles to give to coworkers that were learning either English or Spanish. While the NIV/NVI may be closer, the RVR translation is still so close to the NIV that I can use it when teaching English words to my Spanish speaking friends. The RVR seems to be the most popular translation among the Hispanic people, and the NIV is extremely good for the English speakers. The cover isn't as nice as Italian leather, but the Bible itself is beautiful. Make sure to get a set of book markers (Genesis, Exodus, etc.) and a set of highlighters that won't bleed through because the pages are quite thin. Got one for myself and another for a wonderful sister, and we liked ours so much that I started purchasing them for others as well. Put them on clearance for $17 again, and I will buy 10 more without hesitation - highly recommend for those that want to use either English or Spanish.

Its actually one of the best Bibles ive boughten. The letters are a little small but thats to be expected since its comes with RVR and NIV. Overall its great!!

I was very much in need for a bilingual Bible since I live in the U.S. but attend a Spanish-speaking church. It has the best translation (in my opinion) for each language (RVR for Spanish and NIV for English). The book jacket is removable if you prefer a plain black cover. I gave it a 4-star review because the text size is a little too small for my preference. I don't think I would recommend this Bible to a person with poor eye sight.
