Evangelical Press Life by His Death (Abridgement of Death of Death in the Death of Christ)

The book "The Death of Death in the Death of Christ", a theological argument to show that the doctrine of universal redemption is unscriptural and destructive of the gospel, first published in 1647, is here presented in an easy-to-read version. It is suggested that no-one has ever succeeded in refuting the thesis that Owen here so fully expounds and defends from the Scriptures.

This has to be one of the greatest books written about the age old question of who Christ came to die for. This is a must read for anyone who claims to be a Christian. This book may challenge you; but you will come away smarter regardless of the position you take.

This is an easier read than the full version, but gives solid ground for the truths exposed in the Owen's masterpiece. He uses scripture, reason, and sound exegesis to firmly defend definite atonement.
