Vines and Shaddix, two super preachers, have put together a super book for any preacher/teacher. It covers just about every area of expository preaching - somewhat similar to John MacArthur's classic "Rediscovering Expository Preaching." It has a fair amount of technical instruction on preaching, but I found that it was not necessarily academicaly technical in that you do not have to read the book in one hand and have a dictionary in the other!!! Moreover, it is full of well thought out, practical tips that will surely enhance your preaching. The authors make a good case for quality expository preaching. All in all, the book does well to hold high the standards of soberly preaching the Word of God ... always a good trait to see in a preaching publication!!!Bottom line: it's a hit!!! A little pricy perhaps, but you'll be glad you bought it ... I was!!
