Very Good Book but to me 5 Stars is absolute excellence. That makes it very hard to give except in a very few cases. This book was very close to being that.

Review 2 for Being a Christian in the Wesleyan Tradition: Belong, Believing, Living, Growing
I purchased this book as it is on the reading list for United Methodist Women. I really wasn't quite sure what it would be like, but I am thankful that I chose the book. It is a wonderful and simple to read book about the faith of United Methodists.
It includes a little background and history of the church, along with the beliefs and traditions of the United Methodists. It described which beliefs are common with other Christian denominations along with those that are unique to United Methodists.
I think that any person wanting to learn more about this faith or someone considering membership with a church of this denomination should read this book. It will answer many questions that you typically do not get by attending a typical worship service or even by talking with another member.
The book can easily be read in a short period of time as it was concise and to the point. It also included several other references for further reading and questions for thought with each section of the book.
