I'm using this for my 3rd & 5th grade boys. It's probably too hard for independent study at these ages, but it has worked nice with me reading it aloud to them. They really enjoy the topic, and we paired it with the Draw through History book to make it a complete curriculum.

This is a good book itself, but it is very short, and I will have to add to this book to have history for the whole school year. But it is a good starting place.

Just what I was looking for to teach my 7th grade son about the Middle Ages through a Christian perspective. It is chronological, thorough and insightful.

This is just the perfect sized text for a study in the Middle Ages. It leaves enough room for plenty of literature, research work and crafts or projects. Use this along with "famous Men of the Middle Ages" as well as a Dover Coloring book. CBD has so many great books to read for the time period, so don't forget to purchase a couple.
